Game Help / Wii Data Moving Problems

Hi everyone, it's been forever since I posted anything here, so I'll make my return with a question.
Some time ago our Wii stopped reading discs, so for Christmas this year we got a new Wii.

Now here's the problem.

When I try to move some data (Brawl, MKWii, etc.) it won't allow me to move this data onto an SD Card so I can move it to the new Wii.
Is there any way to move this data? I'd want to be able to do this before getting the old one fixed.

  My lucky vessel has been through alot in the past few years, but not as much as it was in now.
The Wolfen was right behind me with my rival, Wolf O'Donnel in the cockpit. I could see Panther Caroso coming into view on my left.
My communicator beeped with Peppy on the line.
"Fox, quick! Do a somersault!"
I pulled up on the throttle so hard, I could of sworn I could have broken it if I had tried to.
As I made my short ascent, I saw the dark, somewhat ominous skies of Venom.
It reminded me of home, back on-
"Fox! Stop dreaming, and do the rest of that somersault!" Peppy told me through the communicator.
"Oh! Uhh... yes sir!" I replied.
On my way underneath Wolf and Panther, I looked at the detailed contour of the ground.
It looked like the-
"Fox..."
"Sorry. Oh-no. Leon's here too."
The annoying chameleon was trying to blast me with several Nova Bombs,
when Falco came to assist.
"Fox", he said,"Why do you always need my help? Can't you do anything on your own?"

        It was a fine day in the Mushroom Kingdom... The sky was blue, the birds were singing a lovely tune, and that stain was still on the carpet... Many people, in my opinion, rarely see a day like this, but some were lucky. Inside this kingdom are many people with mushroom caps. They are called "Toads", short for "Toadstools." Friendly people... Friendly people indeed. How they love their Mushroom Kingdom. Although, there are more people, other than the Toads... No, there's more people... their names are Mario and Luigi. These two men are very famous plumbers that work for a beautiful princess. Her name is "Toadstool."  ...

I need help. For when I insert a GameCube game disc into thou Wii, the Main Menu Screencomes up, but I have used the different types of controllers, the Wavebird, the original, but I press the start button, but nothing happens! It's only the GameCube...
