I remember back when the 5:05 run (Scott Kessler) was huge news a number of years ago, gotta be almost 10 years ago by now. Crazy that a human run can get this good.

But wait! There's more!
Anybody else miss this guy?
I made a Mii of him; now he's in Tomodachi Life selling OxiClean for $19.95.

I remember when Billy Mays died back in '09 (six years!) -- he has still not been replaced as the ultimate pitchman. Sorry Anthony Sullivan.

Important note regarding the Wii VC on Wii U: You can't use the gamepad unless the original supported the classic controller.

If the classic controller was supported in the original game, the gamepad is mapped to classic controller 1.

I'm in a similar boat, in a similar timeframe. Visiting these sites for the past 8 years, and saw the downhill slide of SMBHQ, SM128C, etc. Used to love fiddling around here all day. Too bad. Also, NC was awesome.

And the unceremonious and mysterious end to lemmy's land. 3 years ago, never forget.

I'm not asking for a weekly schedule again, but it's been OVER TWO YEARS.

Neat, Lizard Dude.

Some Nintendo stuff from my childhood (2000s)

Mario 3, my favorite main series Mario game.

One of the best games on the Gamecube.

Was excited to find a brand-new Mario 2D platformer.

Yoshi's Island, also a great game.

Majora's Mask, loved playing this game as well.

Animal Crossing. Especially liked the NES games in this.

Pokémon Emerald.

Mario Chat / Re: New Mario Movie (Not Joke)

Oh really? I don't think that it's a great idea; the Mario games don't really have much in the way of story.

I haven't seen the original Mario movie since I was a kid, but I think that it was... meh. As a Mario movie, it's awful. As a general movie, it was... okay.

You think that your Yoshi situation was dire? On my original playthrough, I got a green Yoshi (this was just by luck, it'd seem) and guess what? My little brother took the pleasure of naming it, and filled the name field with star symbols!

Still angers me a tiny bit to this day.

Hey, new member here.

Well, only sorta.

I've been a semi-regular visitor to this site since 2007 and had an account or two in the past on fungi forums, long gone, maybe 1 or 2 posts.

So hopefully this one sticks around a bit longer.

A little hard to believe. I still have multiple save files on that game at 99:59.

Makes me wish I still had free time to play it.

I played all the Paper Mario games 1-3 as a kid, PM1 was really good, but I never got over the fact that you can't go back to Toad Town after the ending. PM2 is arguably the best, even though I still haven't beat the Shadow Queen. SPM was really good, too, albeit different, and I enjoyed it.

I played PM4 a little (my brother's game), and it's a bit clunky in battle in my opinion. I never really liked the idea of consumable stickers, I prefer a move (At least 1) that you can pull off infinite times.
