General Chat / Re: Where will you be 5 years from now?
« on: March 25, 2006, 03:15:05 PM »
I know your intentions were good, Khold, but I'm kind of offended. For the first time, I'm seeing things in a different light, and it's blowing my mind. I don't want to be put in a box with all these things society says you "have to do" in order to be happy and successful. Usually society has it backwards anyway, from what I've seen.
I apologize if I seemed offending, but I was trying to help you get motivated for making plans for the rest of your life. I know you HAVE started, but by what you said earlier, I thought you meant you had no idea what you were going to do. I also didn't get what you meant by "I don't even know what college I want to go to, and I'm IN college!"

You and I may have different opinions on how early people should get started with the rest of your life, but I can see your point too. A backup statement I have is that my old friend who is thirty right now made the mistake of sitting at home to late and missed the time to go to college. Now he doesn't even have a job right now because nobody will accept him without a better education. He still lives with his parents and has no self-esteem.

Again, I was trying to warn you to get started as early as possible. But now I see that you have, so I apologize for the past statement.

I TOLD you she'd say yes!!!

Congratulations!! I'm so happy for you! From all of the stories you have told me, you will make a wonderful couple. If there was some way to express how happy I am for you, it would have to be in a box. Where you get married, I will send you both a heart-warming gift of friendship. You have more than deserved that happy day!

Where ever your lives take you, you will be together in it. I pray you will have the best of your lives on your honeymoon and will not stop until the end. Go where ever your mind takes you to, and you will not be alone. Being married to the one of your dreams is one of the best, no, THE best thing to happen to anyone, what I would imagine.

In wish you both a very happy life, and hope you start off on the good side of a family. If you ever need help, you can look to your fiance. Good luck to you both, and may God help you along the hardships!

Or if you have full hearts, you can use your magic sword and shoot them when they're not looking at you.

Fives years, hm? Seems so short, but so long...

I'll be following my dream of becoming a famous guitarist, then aim for THE best. I hope to be on stage, screaming fans, and see my mother and father in the audience smiling at me. As a alternate career, I'll be a photographer, photographing nature and portraits. I've also thought a lot about being a good chef-- mabey for a Japanese steak house or something. You know, the places where your food is cooked right on your table. They do tricks of all sorts. It's amazing... XP

I hope to be married, but I'd rather not share this kind of thing with the Fungi Forums right now.

I have always dreamt of living in Hawaii. Although I have never even been there, I've heard so much from my friend. Everything she says is just "It is so beautiful... Like nothing you've seen before." Though it seems impossible, there is a few places where it is just plain ugly. Like the volcano eruption areas... all black and hot... -_-;

In order to fulfil all of my dreams, I will, of course, have to start off simple. I'm thinking of just moving out to Hawaii as soon as I am eighteen. Then I'll probably attend a college there and get a part-time job as a chef or waitress.

I'd really like to see my friend follow his dream of owning his own chain of five-star hotels. It sounds so interesting. It also fits him very well-- he is a very smart 'business' person. If he keeps it up in AP honor classes with strait A's, I'm sure I'll hear his name on the TV sometime. ^_^ I really care about him, so I try to help him. To tell you the truth, he's already starting the managing! ...And he's only a junior in high school!

Sapphira: You really need to start thinking about the rest of your life. If you don't even know what you want to be/do, you HAVE to get help. You're 19-and-a-half right now, so you need to start discussing these things with your parents. Of course, find something you're good at, and research careers online. That goes for others, too. START THINKING ABOUT YOUR LIFE EARLY.

To rap this up, I am already fulfilling one dream: being the best that I can be.

I loved the first Mario Party commercial. If I remember it right, Mario was being busted by two cops for a neighborhood disturbance. I lol'ed so hard at that one... XD

I also liked the "got milk?" commercial that had a kick off of Mario. These two boys were playing Mario 64. It went something like: "Come on Mario, jump!" (Mario jumps into wall & falls) "Come on, Mario!" (Mario hits wall again) "Ugh, I give up!" (kids leave room)(Mario jumps out of television and gets a bottle of milk)(Mario goes back into the television and jumps the obstacle) ^_______^

Eh... Sorry, but it looks like progress from now on will be a lot slower... I will be very busy, so don't expect me to add-on every day. Sorry. -_-;

Whew... This took me a while, but I got it down. I don't have time to check over it, so please tell me if there's something wrong.

~Romanced Dawn~
Chapter I

As I walked into the huge double doors, I got this strange feeling inside me. These doors must symbolize something. But in a very good way. The stained glass as windows by the door were beautiful. It was an image of a student scholar; book in hand with a square-like cap that had a string hanging down from the side. As I looked through the doors, the sight was overwhelming! There must be at least fifty floors in this single building! I finally took my first step into college.
"Hello, sir. How may I help you today?" the secretary asked. She seemed very nice-- Like my grand mother. She had a bright smile on her face.
"Um, my name is John. I'm signing up for my classes, I suppose?"
"Oh, I see. Please read this fine print and sign here." She handed me a long piece of paper. It looked quite important. As I read through the first part, this girl walked up to the counter. I couldn't help it, but my eye slowly followed her. She was beautiful... I've never seen anybody as charming as her before. Her face... It was as if nothing could trouble her. Like she was impossible to upset.
    "Name please," the secretary asked.
"My name is Aryll. Aryll Anders!" She said. Aryll... What a beautiful name. It sounded like a crystal of some sort.
"Okay then, if you would, please read carefully and sign here." Aryll looked down at me with a smile. She didn't say anything, though. I blushed and quickly turned my head toward the paper. Without reading the rest, I signed the paper and handed it back to the secretary.
"Thank you. Here is your schedule for today. Please report to room 9,001. I widened my eyes thinking of how big this college was. I doubted that was even close to how big it really is.
"Here you go!" Said the girl with a cheerful voice.
"Thank you, ma'am. Well well, it looks like you are going to the same room as the other boy," the secretary announced as she pointed to me.
"Wow, that's pretty cool! Do you know where it is? I'm kind of lost..." said Aryll. I couldn't even pay attention to what she was really saying. I was to focused on her beautiful blue eyes. I kept starring at her, not knowing what to say.
"Um... hello?" she said. I was too afraid to speak.
"Hello." That's all I could say. I was so embarrassed.
"Are going help me find this room? You seem a little dazed... Are you feeling okay?"
"Wha...? YES! I'm feeling fine. Are you feeling okay?"
"Y-yes, I'm feeling perfect right now. But I don't know where this room is and I don't want to be late! Hehe!"
"Oh- right. Sorry about that. Just follow me."
I was so nervous. I felt like a total idiot. I didn't even know where to go. I looked at a sign that read 9000's. A light went on in my head with a "ding!" I followed it straight to a long hallway. Aryll closely followed behind me. I was looked left to right trying to find the right room.
"Excuse me, but I think this is the room," she said. Without saying anything, I quickly turned around and followed her into the room. It looked like a class of some sort. But as I looked at the posters around the room, I figured that it was a biology class. Aryll found a seat and sat down. I sat in the seat right beside her. Without looking at her, my face started to drip salty sweat.
"Are you sure you're okay? Your face is pale."
"Yes, of course. I'm fine." ...But I wasn't. "I think I love her..." I thought to myself. The professor walked into the room with an excited look upon his face.
"Hello, class. My name is Professor Chilliad. I teach biology in this class. If you would, please take this time to read over the student handbook. You'll find it underneath your seat." I reached under my seat, but just to have my hand meet with her's. I quickly pulled it away, and grabbed my own book and set it on my lap. I opened it and started reading the first chapter. It felt like I was reading, but I wasn't. I kept thinking about her.
The bell rang and I stood up. I followed Aryll out the door and stood by the wall.
"Well, it was a pleasure to meet you. But I never got your name!"
"My name is John Moore." I said while scratching my head.
"I guess I'll be seeing you later, John," she said as she left. I could tell right then that I was in love...

This is pretty good, pt_peach. It feels like I'm reading a magazine... or something. XD But there is a few negatives in your story. There is a lot of grammar errors that you should look over. If you ever plan to write books, grammar is one of the biggest things you need to look out for.

You also make it funny-- I love how you change Samus's personality and make her more "girl-y". I can imagine her in her suit this whole time. Brilliant. ^_^

Anyways, you have a great sense for writing stories. Keep it up!

Thanks, pt_peach and Ultima Shadow! I haven't written a story like this in a long time. I will get the first chapter up hopefully today.

Pt_peach, it's okay for you, don't worry. If you can watch PG movies, you can read my story. ^_^
