i want to hook my nes or snes to my 53" tv, will this mess anything up either with the nintendo or tv?

If you can get all the right cables to hook it up, I don't really see how it could hurt anything.
That is, provided hooking it up won't involve drilling through the back of the TV, or something like that.

See where the cable goes? Some sort of screw-thing, right? Hook the SNES or NES up there, whichever one you want to overide the other. (i.e. SNES first-SNES overides NES) Then, hook the other to the screw-thing in that box for the first one. Finally, you hook the cable to the screw-thing in the other system's box that you hooked up.

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I have a 51" TV and hooking up mu SNES fried the picture. I don't know why but I wouldn't risk it.

I don't see a problem with it, other than clearly seeing every pixel on the screen.

Have you ever read the insruction manuel to the Nintendos. It says NEVER plug in a Nintendo to a projection TV, it can ruin the picture.
