Well, now that school's out and that aforementioned art project is finished, I believe I'll post it here. You should be able to figure out what it's about. :)

I'm right-handed. I can do the Vulcan with both hands quite easily.

I also can't really snap, period. I don't know if it's just because I never "practiced" as a child, or what.

Mario Chat / Re: Miyamoto Hates Stories
« on: June 14, 2009, 03:50:12 PM »
This is really disappointing for me. I was impressed by Super Mario Galaxy's plot as compared to the other "main series" Mario games, but not as a stand-alone story. And now I hear SMG2 will have even less of a story?

I'll be hoping and praying that Miyamoto changes his mind. Or that Koizumi gets to sneak more story elements in.

...Heck, do we have any information on the game's story at all? I could be able to tolerate it, even if it's hyper-simple, if it's something other than saving Peach, however likely that may be.

EDIT: Oh, and Rosalina FT absolute W.

General Chat / Re: So how's that weather
« on: June 11, 2009, 03:46:21 PM »
It's mild and rainy where I am. After "winter" lasting into mid-May, I don't care what the heck it's like outside, as long as it's not cold.

That's the "beige" option on the "change color" menu. I always thought it was too light.

Does this work?

Yeah, it does. I guess I was just too lazy to try it out last time (perhaps because in the browser I'm using, the "preview" function is really messed up).

Haven't posted a dream in a while, and I think I really need to get back to doing this, so this is what I can remember of my dream last night. It isn't much.

Something happened where I was. I needed to go somewhere to find something to fix that, so I sort of tentatively climbed in my dad's car (in real life, my dad accompanied me on a trial drive, since I'm going to do driver's training) and went somewhere really slowly. I was driving in this road in the middle of some kind of area with a lot of trees and I slowly kind of realized I wouldn't get there fast enough, and I kind of didn't have a license. I turned the car around, thinking I wouldn't get home soon enough, but all the space I'd covered sort of disappeared and I wound up right at my house, which seemed to be distinctively more tan than usual.

Yeah, I forget most of the details. There was a lot more to it than this. Something like that last part happened in a dream I had a long time ago, actually - I was climbing up an ascent in a dark cave after some kind of adventure to get back home, and arrived in my upstairs, only to look back and find the cave shrinking and eventually being replaced by the stairs. My brother was coming upstairs, too.

(For those of you new to the party, I add effects to the words for imagery.)

Seeing as I finished the PDF version of SPM3, and I put all sorts of character art in there that I didn't post here, I think I'll show the new artwork you guys didn't see last time after I finished SPM2 Chapter 4-4. I'll post those ones here too, just for a complete picture.

I'm also working on a project in Art class at school inspired by SPM and my two sequels. I'll post a picture of it here when it's finished.

Video Game Chat / Re: Ever had a crush on a videogame character?
« on: May 22, 2009, 11:00:59 AM »
I've never had a true crush on a video game character, but there are some girls I think are cute or some such (well, obviously).

Vivian from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is cute. I've always liked red cheek highlights like hers.

Mimi from Super Paper Mario also...in her normal form, that is, not the other one. :D Same deal with the highlights and all.

I guess one could consider Rosalina pretty. My cousin said she was hot.

From non-Mario games, Amy Rose from the Sonic series looks kind of cute, especially in Sonic Unleashed. LEAF a page or two back is cute too.

I just want to say that Boo Dudley won the thread with his first post on Page 2.

I have zero interest in politics, so I don't watch anything. My home page is Yahoo, so if there's any sub-major news tidbits there that interest me (which isn't often), I can pick them up. Otherwise, I cooly proceed to whatever website I was going to.

Mario Chat / Re: Paper Mario Patterns?
« on: May 03, 2009, 02:44:05 PM »
Oh, yeah, that works. Grubba sucking energy out of the fighters to stay fit.

I remember that chapter. My friend was over while I played it the first time, and we, plus my brother, were all really into the experience, making guesses about how this whole conspiracy was going to turn out and everything. :P

Not at the Dinner Table / Re: Swine flu topic
« on: May 03, 2009, 01:30:55 PM »
Just today, there was an announcement that two people at my school had this flu. They're shutting the school down until the 13th.

That means no school...no seeing classmates...until the 13th.

Just a few years ago, I would've just been jumping for joy at the fact that I wouldn't have to go to school. Now it's saddening. :(

Mario does save the multiverse in SPM. He travels to different "dimensions", which are essentially universes.

I noticed a while ago that all three Paper Mario games contain something a little weird or freaky around the Chapter 2/3 area: Paper Mario has Tubba Blubba's Heart and Super Paper Mario has Mimi's spider transformation. TTYD...uh, does Flurrie count?

Mario Chat / Re: Should Waluigi just die?
« on: April 23, 2009, 05:50:41 PM »
Funny, my brother and dad used to play Mario Superstar Baseball sometimes, and my dad was interested in Waluigi because he'd never seen him before. He mentioned that he was at a gathering (forget whether it was a party or a golf retreat or what) and one of the other fathers played a Mario sports game with his son, and they soon were talking about Waluigi. This actually inspired a username I used at another website, "Meister Waluigi". I would've used Reading if I'd planned on staying there longer, but as it turned out, I'm still there, and had my username changed a long time ago. :P Looks like Waluigi was a bit of a phenomenon for a while.

I don't mind Waluigi; I mean, whether they do it or not, he always has the potential for character development. Also, wasn't he in one of the microgames in Wario Ware: Smooth Moves? I haven't played that game, but I remember hearing it somewhere...

Fan Creations / Re: Reader Achievements
« on: April 19, 2009, 04:40:41 PM »
Wow, this is crazy. And looks fun. Clever touch with the "fan" related achievements looking like Sonic's icon. :P

Two suggestions. Not exactly sure about the point values.

Next Please - 20 RP - Read every book in a series (with at least 300 pages each or on average) exactly one book a day for the same amount of days as there are books
Confused Saucy Child - 50 RP - Read one of Shakespeare's plays, without any prior knowledge of the play, and fully comprehend it

The achievements I have are...

Before You Start...
Author Authority
"Seriously..." (not sure about this one, but I might have read over a million pages in all the books I've read in my life)
Always Remember Your First (well, obviously)
Conjunction King
Authentic Author Addition
Fan-tastic
Fan-F***ing-tastic
Wordthless
Man of God (does that mean the whole Bible? If so, I don't have this)
You Snitch! (I once attempted to play Calvinball...)
It's a Magical World
On an Adventure
Parchment Professional
Magic: The Gathering (not entirely sure)
Play Time
