I think Tv_Themes is confused, since WarioWare was the only cool thing about Wario, ever. Except VB Wario Land.
That was a joke.

VB Wario Land is probably the only thing that wasn't cool pre-Factory Wario. Only because the Virtual Boy sucked.

I have to say that even though I thoroughly enjoyed all Wario Lands(minus VB WL... I've been lacking such an experience thus far in my life.), Wario Ware has a special place in my heart for being the most amazing gaming experience ever. I never thought before that you could ever go through so many various games in less than an minute. It's a beautiful thing.

What was this topic about again?

What do you hate so much about WarioWare? That all of the games have unique features that really make the best use of Nintendo's gimmicks? That it gave Wario a new appearance that isn't chained to Mario (and doesn't look like it would smell like a bathroom)?

Tv_Themes hating WarioWare, apparently. (This was in response to what the thread was about)
Also, Virtual Boy was a good system. People just didn't understand that. People like Tv_Themes, apparently.
That was a joke.

Nintendo took a well established thief and turned him into a business tycoon.

That's like taking a plumber and having him close doors in a hotel, and we all know how that turned out.

As we've established before, Wario is always in search of a get-rich-quick scheme. He found one with WarioWare.
That was a joke.

Wario doesn't care what he has to do to get rich. He just wants to get rich. His greed would naturally lead him to want an easy way for him to make money--what's easier than forcing your friends to make an addictive video game with your name on it? The back of the box of one of them, delightfully says, "BUY MY GAME!"

Also, Wario will continue to steal from dungeons and the like. Wario Land: Shake It! just came out a while ago. As I said, he wants to get rich fast, so treasure hunting while his crew collects profits from his game should be making him pretty happy.

Lastly, if you're referring to Hotel Mario, you're out of order. Intelligent Systems is a good game company, and they make good games. Whoever made the CD-i games with Nintendo characters (did Philips make the games or just the system?) was not.

Actually, the first Wario Land is still very special to me. Back then it felt like adventure, Wario had his Greek fishing hat or whatever you want to call it, loved the different hats, great varied music... the only downside was the very floaty controls and problems with doing high jumps. That and I hated the boss for Parsley Woods. But I played that game on Super Game Boy, man.

Then Wario Land 2 came along. While I consider that game much better, it felt less adventurous (you never see a world map) and the music seemed more like derivatives of one theme. I can't remember (or distinguish from memory) half of the songs in it, they all seem similar. The game also took a sharp slant towards puzzles, which it had to because Wario could no longer die. Whenever I tried getting treasures, I'd get at least 200 coins so I could always put the speed on Slow to ensure I grabbed it.

Wario Land 3 was more of the same with prettier graphics and having to earn your abilities (which was a convenient way to keep you in suspense because you see something you can't quite get to yet -- it's the old Metroid formula again). Marginally better than 2. But darn it, I HATED that golf minigame, especially since it blocked your path to treasure chests until you nailed it.

Wario Land 4... eh, it was good, music occasionally rocked (Crescent Moon Village is the best Wario Land song EVER, I was so overjoyed to hear it as the "High Scores" music (segment at 1:54) at the end of a Easy/Hard/Tough factory challenge in WarioWare Microgames), but I didn't like it as much as the previous entries. Granted it was up against what's essentially the perfection of the action-puzzle genre.

WarioWare is amazing all-around. Fun microgames, great music... but, ah, it's not a Wario Land title.

I hate this phrase, so I'm only using it here because it is stunningly true and needs to be said:

This thread is made of fail.

I can't tell is this is a really great or a really sad thread... Yup, it's pretty sad.

That being said, I never played a Wario game I didn't like (probably because any Wario game I figured I wouldn't like, I didn't buy). There were some that were mediocre, but nothing that made me outright want to sell the game.

Whoever made the CD-i games with Nintendo characters (did Philips make the games or just the system?) was not.
I believe Nintendo licensed Phillips to make the games with their characters (there was no way Nintendo developed those things).
