Which Mario game had the most satisfying ending? Something simple, like Super Mario Bros? Or epic, like Galaxy? Or somewhere inbetween, perhaps a RPG? We ask you this! (Gone=No computer=Spring Break)

The most satisfying ending? I'm thinking of TWO of the best endings from these two games.

Super Mario RPG & Paper Mario.

Super Mario Bros. 3 or Super Mario World would win my vote.

SMB3 has one of the greatest ending tunes of any game, whereas it's nice to see listings off enemies on SMW.

I guess I'll say SMW.

I liked SMW's ending... But that's mostly due to nostalgic purposes.

It's been a while since I played through any of the games except for Super Mario World...I guess that's my vote.

Well, even though the Paper Mario ending was great (just watched it on YouTube, looks like it directly follows in the footsteps of Super Mario RPG), and the ending to Yoshi's Island was awe-inspiring (I'd put that in a very close 2nd place), I'll have to say the ending to Super Mario RPG is the best. The parade surprisingly is not the best part, it's the part beforehand which provides a look at what some familiar characters are up to afterwards. The calm but almost-melancholy music gives a great dreamlike vibe, and it's a nostalgia trip to see these beloved characters once more... but Jonathan Jones looking out over the ocean at sunset takes the cake. That part makes me cry every time. Loved Jonathan the shark boss...

So give me Jonathan Jones at sunset any day.

I'm really split between SMRPG and PM. SMRPG is awesome for all the reasons mentioned and more, but PM has a lot of the same stuff, plus Peach's inspirational speech over the Mushroom Kingdom's national anthem.

All right, 47% to SMRPG, 53% to PM.
