Gee, I think it would be wierd if Mario changed at all. A gun, I suppose, would really mess up his fighting style: We've got Fire Flowers!

What's all this about changing Mario? He's supposed to be a normal-looking plumber who runs and jumps like a superhero.

Making his hair slicked back would give him a more aero dynamic look.

Maybe in the next Paper Mario game (if there is another one), he might have to disguise as James Bond :D, in his suit and slicked hair, too.

It would be pretty cool if he grew a beard...or would it. Oh well, I don't think he needs to change a lot, or none that's to dramatic.

Nothing too drastic.  Maybe a little taller, a little thinner... different color clothes... green, perhaps?
And bam!  He'd be, like, a totally different Mario Brother!

There was a topic similar to this made by marioluigifan.......anyway, I think Mario should shave his mustache. Just once! Just one game........that would be hilarious!

No, he would be exactly like Luigi, or is that the joke.

I think the Ratchet's change between Ratchet and Clank and the more recent games would be interesting to try out on Mario. A more mature look. Maybe something like Ocarina of Time-Twilight Princess.

That's obviously the joke, G-Dawg.  I'd actually like to see Mario use a sword for one part of a game.

I say Mario should stick to the way he looks in SSBM, with the same innocent expression that he has in PM (which isn't saying much, considering that in the PM games his eyes are two black dots -_-').
Maybe there is more to me than there is to me...

From OoT to TP, Link just looks older. Mario's already old. That, and the graphics are more refined which gives him a less blank expression, like Mario from SM64-SSBM.

It would be cool if he had a poison mushroom gun to kill Bowser/other enemies easily.
