For the past four years, I've been blessed with the privilege of having a certain classmate who is, for lack of a better word, "special". Despite his developmental issues, the guy is a kind soul who means well. He fancies himself quite the songwriter, among other things. Below is one of his most recent compositions, complete with grammatical idiosyncrasies:
[Untitled]
Words and music by Kyle
When you can see the colors
from the rainbow from the
storm after it rains
you can be there at every
party and if you get
in trouble don't
mind just think about
something else instread
of that don't be so worried
at all because Im there for
every single time don't be
mistaken because I do it every time
Because therefor you
need me you can therefor you
thunderstorm the distance
there's no earthquake to distroy
the city there's no wind to
floud the countrie s
Because it's only rain
falling straight
down
This particular piece evidently didn't make the cut, seeing as I found it on the cafeteria floor. Regardless, my challenge is as follows:
Record your own interpretation of this song, and post the finished product here.
Opera, country, J-pop, spoken-word, Microsoft Sam over a techno loop, or whatever, the style and tune are of your own choosing. Go crazy. :D
