Author Topic: Luigi wardrobe question..  (Read 3064 times)

Hey, it's my first post here, though I've been visiting the site for a long time (I'm the one who made the crap Yoshi Desktop Theme on this very site way back when..)

I have a quick question.. in Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. Luigi had green overalls and a white shirt and hat.  In SMB USA (Super Mario Bros. 2) he had the blue overalls and green shirt and hat.  Why did they ever change this?  Luigi didn't seem like MUCH of a copy of Mario with his old getup.  I know it was probably confusing that Fiery Mario and Fiery Luigi looked the same, but that is easy to get over.  They even kept the new clothes in SMBDX!  Post your comments here, naturally.

P.S.:  Look at SMW.  Doesn't it look like Luigi's overalls are a bit purple?

Maybe, like the rest of us, Luigi likes to change his clothes from time to time because they get dirty.
I know what you mean though ^_^ I thought the little pocket Mario and Luigi had on their dungarees in SMW was cool and should have stayed...

About teh purple overalls thing, they didn't just do that in SMW, it's been in every game since. I first noticed this in SSB and in SMBDX. I think it makes a good touch. Course the white with green overalls is my favorite.
