Still, even if Square came back, they wouldn't use Geno or Mallow or anyone.  When Square makes a sequel to a game, they OBLITERATE all the old ones for new ones. Parasite Eve being the exception.

So if they did make SMRPG2, there'd be no Geno or Mallow.

It's nice to think.

Wow.... I haven't been here in a LONG time it seems. So many new faces and some old ones too.

The GameCube- Might as well post my feelings on it (I saw it the day it was revealed)-

I cried.

It's so freaking beautiful. Hope it can have some good Mario games on it.

Well, got to go back to playing parasite EVE 2 now. Hope to talk some more! =)

I'ma female, And I've been a gamer since I played Street Fighter 2 on my friend's Genesis.  Thatw as 10. Cut to 3 years later, I own 2 N64's 2 PSXs and 1 Dreamcast and an Import PS2 will LOADS of games for all.

Gaming isn't a guys thing. That's why I only play games that have female leads, or you can play as a girl.

Femminist eh? I like it that way. ;->

Hmm.....  I'm not sure that is a great charecter list.  We have to put the mainstream in mind, like kids and such, so, here's a nice, short list IMO-

Doomba, not that I'm saying your list stinks, its just that some of us, don't know who some of those charecters are, or we just don't care.

But, it's nice to see everyone's lits on fighters they want to see...

(I'm ticked that Beast Wars Metals was cancelled for N64... NOOOO!!!!)

Yes, what Nintendo uses Next-Gen systems to up-the-ante in gameplay for Mario, Link, Kirby, ect, Eidos uses for boob job money for Lara Croft and Hana Tsu-Vachel (Need I mention, Fear Effect Retro Helix?)... and yet they use Next-Gen stuff to up Soul Reaver 2....

I'm going cross-eyes talking about it.

Okay, I will not blow my top on this one, because it is LOGICAL.

Let's look at the ups and downs of each 'mascot'-

Mario- Pro- Widly popular with childer and adults, has a LONG series of games, 3 cartoon series, 1 movie and 'promoter of Dolphin'

Con- A bit TOO popular, so many games, 1 movie (Good or bad..)

Crash- 4 good games, Funny commercials (IMO), Mascot of PSX

Con- Not that many people know him, advertisments (Insulting Nintendo. I liked it and hated it.), Dosen't talk

Sonic- Pros- Most recognized, 3 cartoon series, loads of sucessful games, the Chao

Cons- Sonic Underground, hates Mario

Lara Croft- Pros- Widly popular, boobs, 5 games (1, 2, 3, 4 and GBC), smart, strong

Cons- Boobs, 5 games, guns, boobs

Personally, I think They're all great. Don't get me started with Pikachu...

Mario is the mascot, simply because he is the most recognized. Therfore, you won't see luigi, Peach, Koopa or Toad be the mascot of Nintendo.

And Nintendo does have other mascots. Need I say Pikachu and Link? Samus too, perhaps.

Well, I don't think that many people knew about the Dark mario Wars in early '99.... since It was at the VERY Old SMBHQ board, then moved to ESS, and had subsequent, ailbet totally stupid and idiotic wars after that.

I don't think they had a huge impact, if at all, it impaced those who took place in it and ESS.
