Mario Chat / Re: Sonic and Mario should team up!
« on: August 29, 2002, 09:23:12 AM »
Well, no offense, but I think it would be really dumb to mix their worlds together. I like to think of Mario's world as a seperate place than Sonic's, so therefore they could never meet (you don't see any large bushes with eyes in Sonic, do you?).

I think it's bad enough that Nintendo has Sonic games on their system. A few years ago, people world have laughed endlessly at the suggestion of such a thing. "Sonic? On a Nintendo system? HAhHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

General Chat / Re: Are there any 17 year old girls here?
« on: August 29, 2002, 09:11:53 AM »
I don't know any girls that play video games. There should be more of them, because the people who play them a lot tend to be more understanding of just about everything and use logic very well. All the girls I meet couldnt use logic to find their way out of an empty, wide open barn. *sigh*. At least I know they're out there.

The problem with being a geeky video game player is it's hard to make friends since all the other one's are doing the same thing I am. Staying inside playing video games. Oh well, at least there's the internet.

"And since when do you do the head jumping? That's Mario's job. As well as mine!" With that, Luigi jumped ten feet in the air, and came back down, right  smack on Lemm'ys head.

"Ouch, you'll be paying for that!" Lemmy shouted, rubbing the 2 foot lump on his head. "My uncle will take care of you!"

"Yeah right!" Mallow piped in. "We have already seen the best and the worst of your uncle Bowser. Mario's fought against him countless times, and I was even there when he fought WITH him."

"Oh, no. Not THAT uncle. I mean my other uncle." A puzzled look came across Mallow and Luigi's faces.

"Bowser has another brother?"

"Yup, and he won't be pleased at all to hear what you did to me."

Ok then, I will be Interplay (oh yeah, this is going to be fun). I will side with Namco immediately (hey, C.W., who are your allies?)

I will take on the appearance of T-Hoppy from Clayfighter 63 1/3 (a crazed, muscular, australian bunny-human hybrid with a metal arm and a metal leg).

Next I summon Taffy (a guy made out of taffy, basically... except he has big alien eyes) and The Blob (a green blob that can shape into practically anything). Both are from Clayfighter.

I order my two minions to go on the defensive and wait for a briefing from Namco.

Mallow and Luigi continued through the SMB style adventure for some time until...

"Wait a minute..." said Luigi, a puzzled look across his face.

"What? What is it, Luigi? We're almost there!"

"Actually, no we're not. There has been some sort of mix up. We are... we are..." he sighed and dropped the map he had been holding. "We are in world 1-1 again."

"WHAT??? World 1-1? But we were just in world 7-2! What's going on?" Mallow thrust his soft little arms into the air and began wailing relentlessly.

I will join as Alucard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night... That is, if this thing is still going on.

Mario Chat / MARIO CCG (or TCG... whatever you want to call it)
« on: August 26, 2002, 09:19:43 PM »
I think it would be really great if there was a Mario CCG (customizable card game). This would definitely sell, and it would be really fun to play a game in the Mushroom World.

You could choose from many premade characters (like Mario, Bowser, Toad, Koopa the Quick, etc.) or make your own within specified guidelines (but there couldn't be two Marios or two Toads in a single card game).

After you have a character you start at a specified place (it would say on your card. For example, Mario would start at the Mushroom Kingdom) you go out and try to either destroy your opponent ,or complete some other special objective that would differ according to what character you have.

There would be powerup cards that you could find (like fire flowers, star men, mushrooms, etc.) and allies that you could recruit (goombas, mushroom people, koopas, thwomps, etc.) in your quest.

There would be lots of other kinds of cards too. I can't really think of any though. Anybody who has played Magic: the Gathering might have an idea of the number of card types there might be.

This game would have to be a really high quality game though with a lot of effort put into the designing of it. (not like pokemon or something). Tell me what you think!
