Grab VLC, change its video output to color ASCII art, and you'll have TEXTp mode for any video you happen to have. I just wish you could change the text size and window size to give it much better resolution. Without being able to do so, the video looks pretty lousy.

I don't know if this is appropriate for the board, so I'm willing to remove the link, but this is pretty scary:

If you weren't bothered by the death of Simba's father in The Lion King, go back in time and watch it at IMAX where you can see Simba's tears real close, then just try saying that again.

I suspect Disney got away with the curse (assuming it's the word I'm thinking of) since it's also a legitimate term for a donkey. Which "Shrek" had a lot of fun with. And Simpsons enjoyed using the term for a female dog.

Anyway, that certainly wouldn't be the last time Disney was controversial. And by the way, no you didn't -- the hungry, hungry hippos gobbled them up.

What's with the black smudges on him in the last panel? Is he so inept at using a pencil that he gets markings on him everywhere? Did he get mugged and beaten up and thrown into a trash can? ...oh, that's a DIFFERENT character. ...still, why all the black smudges?

I thought I snagged the joke, then I saw it was someone else writing the letter and the joke escaped my grasp again. What am I missing? And don't say the pig's the editor of the comic, because while likely, that doesn't fall in cleanly with the rest of the letter that the rat began with.

It's Tonto from the Spanish cartoon "Los Trotamusicos", which I only heard about because of the catchy but so-80s intro music. Yay for characters who are called "stupid" all the time! He's usually smiling and banging away on drums, in the songs anyway. I suppose any donkey would do, but he was looking especially sad there and I completely forgot that "The Small One" existed (thanks Nostalgia Critic!), which has the most pathetic-looking but cute donkey I've seen.

*hears TV in the next room* That frickin' Snuggle Bunny commercial with the electronic diabetes-inducing cute voice, the one that Jamster keeps playing. Man I want to shoot that bunny. Here it is if you want to have a listen. I don't care if it's adorable in France or Germany or whatever, it just rubs me the wrong way.

Oh god, I bet you anything it's going to be in the next Dance Dance Revolution and I'm going to be dancing to it because it sounds just like every other bubblegum pop song in that series.

As for you, Glorb... yeah, I lost at your post. But I do admit he seemed pretty mean-spirited for the "Lost In Space" review, especially with his "Mwa-mwa-MWAHHH". And I liked "Lost In Space". It wasn't memorable, but it wasn't as horrible as the other stuff he watches either. I couldn't sit through all of it, probably the one episode I had to walk out on. I was feeling the same way about his "Battlefield Earth" review even though that's a movie I'd probably hate anyway. Too much hate-laden yelling, not enough "you couldn't SPELL your name" overacting.
I don't care for AVGN's profanity rants either because it's way more disgusting than funny. What keeps me watching AVGN, rather, is the WTD faces and moments of speechlessness he seems to have a lot. Hard to top when he left a game on overnight for infinite lives, only to return and find his live counter topped out at six.
