Mario Chat / favorite classic mario game
« on: July 06, 2008, 07:41:17 AM »
I have only included the super mario games that are 2D or from the arcade and NES or SNES consoles.  So if you think of Super Mario 64 as classic, sorry, I'm just not including games that late in Mario's life.  I also didn't include Donkey Kong because technically it's not a super Mario game, it just has mario in it.  And please don't nag me about how Mario Bros. is not a super mario game, I'm not going to be THAT technically correct!  Personally I picked Super Mario World as my favorite.  Have fun!

How do you know what version of a Mario game you have?  Like I want to know what version of Super Mario 64 I have.  How would I do that?

Luigi's Mansion tips, tricks and facts

I hope some of this info will be helpful, I've beat this game 8 times so I know alot of stuff about it! Here go's:

1. The hidden mansion is the same as the regular mansion except harder.  Enemys take 20 heart points from you instead of 10!  And the bosses intelligence is increased.

2.Secret room.  In the room where you suck up the Butler.  Face the right wall near the door and press X, you should see a mouse hole, put the circle on it and press.  You will then be sucked into a room full of ghosts and lots of treasure!

3. On the roof, climb the ladder on the right chimmney and fall in.  You will be in another treasure room. (you all probably know that one already)

4. To get a gold diamond: After beating dog, water weird plant in that dirt patch.  After beating Bogmire (the ghost in the cemetary) water the plant. After beating bobolous (the giant boo) water it and will then spit money and the gold diamond.  Also getting all 50 boos will get you a second.

5.  I don't know if this one works.  I have never tried it like I tried all the other ones.  But it is said that when you wake up the baby, and he trys to attack you,  if you run around him 20 times you will become invincible.  I will try it soon and report back. Unless someone else here already knows it works.

6. You know those big hearts that restore 50 health?  Well here is where they are:

A. In the babys room in the dresser on the right side next to the door

B. In one of the head stones in the cemetary.

C. In the little lepord print box in the safari room on the bottom right of room

D. In the basement room where all the dust piles are in the shelf in the middle of room

6. If you teleport back to the foyer from the mirror in king boos little lair.  The way you go back is changed.  It makes a different noise and appearance.

7. The first light you walk up to in king boos lair has a blue diamond in it.

I have found all of this stuff (I'm definitely not the first to find it though, I mean I found it by myself) except the baby invincible trick. And this is just skimming the surface.  I'm planning on making a Luigis mansion guide.  (just for fun!) :)

Mariopedia problem.  Hi I just wanted to inform the administrators on this site that you said Super Mario 64 was made by Intelligent Systems.  And that Paper Mario was made by Nintendo.  Just wanted to make note of that. :)

Mario Chat / SM64 & DS debug screen and glitch
« on: June 30, 2008, 10:35:44 AM »
To get a cool debug screen in SM64 for the ds is to first freeze the game. This is hard to do seeing that you must find a glitch to do that. Well I did. to freeze glitch it:

1. go to Snowman's Land

2.go to the bridge that crosses the snowmans mouth and get blown off.

3. Your hat will fall off and appear on the small snowman on the ground that throws snowballs at you

4. DO NOT TAKE YOUR HAT BACK!

5. go back to the bridge and get blown off again (without your hat)

6. Now pick up the box near where you are spawned when you enter the level and throw it at him.

7.two hats will fall off his head. get them both and let yourself be blown off again.
kill the snowman again and 4 hats will fall, pick them all up (the hats increase exponentially).

8. keep reapeating this process until when you run towards the small snowman everything is slowed and choppy (around 64 hats, ironic huh?)

9. throw the box and the game will freeze. Now you must hold down these buttons in the EXACT order I say: "L, R, Left, A"

10. Let go and hold down: "Down, B". Let go and Hold "START, SELECT"

And there you have it. A cool debug (or error log) screen. Enjoy!

Video Game Chat / Banjo-Tooie & DonkeyKong64 hacks and bugs
« on: June 30, 2008, 08:28:40 AM »
I have a really cool glitch for Donkey Kong 64, its one where you will get into a secret room that was deleted (or removed) but never acctually taken out. So I found a glitch to access it! Its kinda hard at first but you'll get it! So what you gotta do is (you have to at least gotten to the Hideout Helm level) so if you've gotten there become Chunky Kong (you have to be in DK Ilses to do this bug). Then go to the small island with the palm tree next to the fariys castle. On that island their should be a Chunky Kong barrel ONLY if you took Tiny to K. Rools boat castle thingy, transported on her pad to a different part of the boat/castle, and played your music weapon on her music pad. (that bird will appear and gives you the chunky barrel). So take Chunky to the barrel and jump in the barrel. He will become really big, instanly run back to the island but run to the 2 big dirt/stone steps (however you think about them) and jump onto the top one. Then FALL off the top one onto the bottom one WHILE holding the Control (analog) stick UP! It'll take you a few times to do it but you'll get it. But you should fall through it and be walking around underwater under DK ilses! Walk over to the waterfall pond (youll hear the waterfall faintly) until he starts to swim. DONT WORRY your still under DK iles, just swimming. if you go to far you will come out from under and have to start again. By this point you might have run out of crystals, it dosent matter as long as your under dk ilses you don't need them. So now look up in the sky for 2 green objects. I believe that they are platforms. When you find them, swim striaght up towards them until your swiming on top of the water (and not under it). Just swim around a little bit until Chunky dissapears, when he does *STOP*! Adjust the camera a little bit until you are swimming in a little computer room! You will know it by the center moniter in the room displaying a view of DK Ilses! You will be swimming in it so jump and you will start walking! Its a cool but difficult glitch! But could you expect anything less from the great MushroomJunkie!

Mario Chat / 121 stars in Super Mario Galaxy
« on: June 30, 2008, 08:25:32 AM »
After you get 120 stars with Mario and beat bowser a second time. You will unlock the game with Luigi. Get all 120 stars with Luigi and then beat bowser a second time and you will unlock the Grand Finale Galaxy. This galaxy is toad town and princess peaches castle and it has one star to get. The galaxy is mainly for you to run in a straight line while picking up 100 purple coins and stopping to talk to every single NPC in the game. Once you get all 100 purple coins Toad will meet you, give you your 121st star, and a commemorative photo and message in your Wii message board. Do this with both Mario and Luigi and you will get a different photo for each, show you how many times you died with that character, and make the file that you did all this stuff with sparkle and glimmer. It's pretty cool. I was actually one of the first people to find this.

Game Help / Broken DS lite
« on: June 28, 2008, 12:17:42 PM »
My DS lite fell and broke. It still works but the moniter is only staying on by some wires connected from the main part to the moniter.  I was thinking of taping the moniter to main part so it won't keep falling over limp when I'm playing it and the only thing that it won't be able to do is close.  Is this a good idea?
