So you have three chests.  One will have a Starman, and the other two will randomly have two of the following: Super Mushroom, 1-Up, Fire Flower, and a Super Leaf.  If that's what you're going for, you should probably have two randomizing objects--each will turn on its switch randomly at one of two possible times.  With two randomizers, you'll have a total of four possibilities, hence your four non-winning objects.  There's an advanced lesson, I forgot which one, in the dojo if you need more on how to use two randomizers.  Hope this helps.

Well, the problem would be the arbitrary definition of "core."  What exactly does that mean, and why would it make it canon/non-canon?  Wouldn't Super Mario 64 be spun-off from Super Mario Bros.?  Would that make it non-canon?  And then you have cross-references, like how Superstar Saga referenced Paper Mario and The Thousand-Year Door referenced Chuckola Cola from Superstar Saga.  Doesn't that mean they coexist?

Just a few questions, Toad.

How are you randomizing the Starman?  Do you have an object whose switch randomly turns on in one of three possible times?
Once the position of the Starman is set, does it jump to one of the chests?
What are your winning conditions?  You can have it so that at the start of the game all the chests' switches are left off and when the Starman touches a chest, that winning chest turns on its switch.  When the player touches the correct chest, it turns that chest's switch off and that could trigger the Starman's switch turning on, which would win the game.

Edit: Maybe you can't see the Starman because the winning chest moves in its "tapped" animation and the Starman's attached behind it.  If that's the case, have it so that the Starman "stops traveling" when its switch turns on.  Hope this helps.

How does Luigi's Mansion contradict Bowser's Inside Story?

...he's talking about Newton's original formula this and that (is it still correct? I'm not sufficiently versed in physics to know)
Einstein's understanding of gravity in the theory of relativity consistently explains more observations.  So yes, Newton's model is outdated.

As for the moon existing, it all depends on how one defines "existence."  That's more of a philosophical question, though.

But the Yoshi's Island games and the Mario RPGs are still full-fledged Mario adventures with stories, characters, level progression, and final bosses.  It doesn't make sense to me to just cluster them with spin-offs like Mario Kart and Mario Party.

Yay Mario!
But it bothers me how they always leave out the Yoshi's Island games and the Mario RPGs.

You know what's frustrating in single player Mario Kart?  When you're about to cross the finish line and get a gold trophy, but then something happens and you lose it all.  You have to start the grand prix all over again to unlock the character, tracks, vehicle, or whatever.  I think Mario Kart could benefit from a Super Smash Bros. system where you gain coins for just playing the game.  The better you perform, the more coins you get, and you can use those coins in a shop on the main menu to unlock goodies.  So even if something bad happens at the end of a grand prix, it won't all feel like a complete waste.

That's strange.  I never made the Cosmic Spirit appear (actually, I did once, but didn't save so she wasn't there next time).  My brother played in his file and made her appear.  Now, she appears in my file every time.  Has this happened to anyone else?  It's not a big deal since there's no penalty to making the Super Guide appear like there was in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but I'm just wondering if this happened to anyone else or if there is a reason behind this.

I would like to create an ultimate Mario Kart game that challenges you to go through every Mario Kart track ever conceived from SNES to Wii (and 3ds probably). All of the tracks come at random order so that you never know what might come next. That would be cool.
Yeah, it'd be nice to be able to have ALL the tracks in Mario Kart history in one game.  Probably accessible via DLC.

You know what else I'd like to see?  User-generated content.  It'd be nice to create your own karts and bikes (with limitations, of course, to ensure that the game stays fair) as well as custom-made tracks.

I believe you have to deposit 9,999 to the Banker Toad after you get all the Comet Medals to make the last star appear.

I'll never understand why some gamers hate water levels.  Are they tough to navigate?  If you can't handle pressing buttons with good timing, why are you even playing video games?

Sure, I guess I'm a bit disappointed by this, but I'm still looking forward to this game.  Beggars can't be choosers.
