Farewell, everyone. My mom jst came into my room and announced to me that the internet would be turned off, and the computer removed from my room for reasons I don't know of too much. I'm thinking that she thinks that I'm on the internet too much. Well, there's nothing else to do down here when your friends can't do anything and you've done all your homework. I get on the internet after I do my chores, etc., so there would be nothing to do besides improve my computer skills, post here, and talk on AIM. I do other stuff as well. Another one of my reasons is that my compter messed up, if you recall my "I Need Help With My Computer" thread and I'm still trying to fix the blasted thing. She assumes that if I'm fixing the dang thing, I'm on the internet. So, you probably won't here from me for a long time. Always remember me, and remember that there shall be no imposters to my name, i.e. Trainman2, or trainman. Well, this is probably my last night here, so farewell. But chances are my folks will forget that they even told me that I would have the intenet taken away. I will probably be coming back soon, so don't take me off the "True Newbie" list. Oh DARN, I remembered. I'll miss the blasted grand opening for the TMK Chatroom!

Mario Chat / "Domination" Records for MP4

On Mario Party 4, there is a min-game called "Domination" where you must rapidly tap the A button to see how many Whomps you can knock down from a domino effect. I was just wondering what some records were for that mini-game as in how many times did you tap the A button without any modification to the system, i.e. turbo controllers, if they make them, etc. This is no contest so don't brag about it if it is high.

Folks, remember to pray for our firemen, etc. that risked their lives to save people on September 11.
I can't believe it has already been 2 years since this horrible event.

Also, pray for our troops in Iraq. It seems as if people across the U.S. have totally forgotten about our troops over there. I haven't. My dad would be over there now if he hadn't of already served his years in the army. Fort Hood's, which is next to me, 4th ID were leading raids and have finally come back. That is great! But please remember the folks who are trying to restore order in Iraq and protect us here in the U.S.

Also, a couple days ago, it was Grandparents Day. So call up your grandparents and wish them a happy Grandparents Day!

I've realized that swear words are underlined in yellow. I only realized that until I saw it show up in a couple of my posts. I did not swear. It must have picked up something that was spelled similar to a swear word. In one of my posts I said "truck." It underlined it. Then it underlined "accelerator." Uh oh. When I post this, it's gonna underline what I just said. XD If you need to check, it is under the General Chat thread entitled, "Remember When..." I should be the latest post.

General Chat / I need help with my computer!

I am in desperate need of help! I reset my computer twice a little too fast, I guess, and it totally reset itself back to its original settings. My pointers, fonts, icons, colors, and, well... the whole smash. I only have 16 colors instead of 256 colors, but I don't have the option to change it back. Everything looks horrible in 16 color. My computer is aslo going EXTRA slow. It aslo forgot what we have installed on it, i.e. accelerator, Sis, etc. I need some help. I need help mainly with getting my 256 colors back, my accelerator, DirectX5, and other things that I'll figure out later.

Please help!

Not too long ago, there was the discovery of very rare lightning. These types of lightning are "Red Sprites" and "Blue Jets." These type of lightning occur at the very top of a storm. These are very rare and can only be seen for about 3 milliseconds- 10 milliseconds before they disappear.

Red Sprites- Usually occur in groups. There is a red flash with many small white flashes within the redness. That is the lightning itself. It occurs at the same time cloud to ground, etc. lightning occurs. Scientists can't explain it (which always seems to be the case.) My guess is that atmospheric conditions play a part in it because usually, storms are about 40,000 ft or higher. They took a pic from space showing a huge supercell starting to flatten uot because it hit the edge of the atmosphere.

Blue jets- Same principle about the timing of the event: same as Red Sprites. Occurs when lightning occurs. They're a blue cone that that shoot up almost vertically in a 10-15 degree angle.

Very rare; very cool.
I could show y'all a movie of a Red Sprite and Blue Jet being filmed on tape from a plane. But, I can't do that HTML stuff. But, I'll find the link to it eventually. Just type in "Red Sprite" or "Blue Jet" as a search word and it should find it.

  How To Watch For a Red Sprite or Blue Jet

A clear view above a thunderstorm is required. This generally means the thunderstorm activity must be on the horizon. Additionally, there must be very little intervening cloud cover.

Best viewing distance from storm is 100-200 miles (200-300 km). At these distances sprites will subtend a vertical angular distance of 10-20 degrees. This is 2-4 times the separation of the pointer stars in the Big Dipper. Basically, a little below the horizon.

For observing sprites, it must be completely dark. (i. e. no longer twilight)

Eyes must be completely dark adapted. Use same criteria for this as for astronomical observing. If you can see the Milky Way, then it is probably dark enough and the eyes have adapted enough to see sprites.

Fix your gaze on the space above an active thunderstorm. Do not be distracted by underlying lightning activity in the storm. Block out the lightning if necessary using a piece of dark paper in such a way as to still being able to view what is going on above the cloud.

Sprites will be very brief flashes just on the edge of perceptability. They occur too quickly to follow with the eyes, but their strange vertically striated structure and dull red color may be perceived.

Patience will be rewarded. If the right kind of storm is present and one's viewing geometry is favorable, then there is a greater likelihood of seeing a sprite than of seeing a shooting star or comet.

If you have observed a sprite or any other optical emission above a thunderstorm, please report it.

I can't stand 8th grade already, and it's only the first week. I can't take it because I'm not cool and I'm not too much of a dork. I'm mediocre. I'm border-lining between mediocre and dork. I'm always tired. I don't like to get up early. I'm already ready for 8th grade to be out. I can't take this crap they give me at school.

Post here do voice your opinion about 8th, or if you want to but not too much; post about other grades that are like crap to you. Try to stay on the subject of 8th grade.

Site Discussion / WTMK and Orchestra

After listening to WTMK, I loved there orchestra and jazz remixes of SMB and Dr. Mario, etc. I love that jazz remix! I think after listening to that, I believe there should be a lot more orchstra and jazz remixes added.

Also, where could I find orchestras and jazz playing Mario music on the web? Or CD's?

Another thing. You know that instrument that you hear at the beginning of Gelato Beach?
Or on SSBM at Peach's Castle; that instrument that starts playing the SMB theme. I can't describe what it sounds like really, but my best guess, based on what my friend said, would be an African Steel Drum. If you even knew what the heck I was saying up there, then could you give me a guess on what instrument that is?

Does anyone here like trains here besides me?
What about model railroads? As you can tell from my name, I really like trains. My dad and I have even installed train horns in his truck and have built my own model railroad.I am also in a model railroading club.

Now, don't give me some nasty remark because I like trains. I am not in the mood for that kind of crap.

Look, folks of TMK, we are SICK of sadib100. He just posts stupid replies to our threads.
We have made at least 4 or 5 threads trying to get rid of him. He is 11, and he says disgusting things. We are all sick of him. I REALLY hope that the mods do something about this. Everyone is tired of him. We are tired of nobody doing anything about this. But when we ban him he will make a new account and wreak havoc once again. Everyone has had there share of complaints about him but nobody will ban him. I know he will post something stupid about this thread and Sapphira will have to edit it again. Him cussing, etc. I hope something is done about this.

Deezer, he has even tried forge your name in the chatroom, sir.

I'm the only one who can talk to sadib100 without him going about his ways. He came on to jon's chatroom just asecond ago and we talked.

Post what you want to work out with him and I might be able to catch him and resolve these problems.

He says he won't say anything rude unless you post something to offend him.

I'm not trying to stand up for him butI can talk to him and maybe we can get some info from and fix these problems with him.

If you still wan to ban hm no problem with me.

Post what you hink I should talk to him about and I'll do my best to talk to.

General Chat / Is Anyone Ever Going To.......

Is anyone EVER going to come to jon's chatroom? Almost every day it's always been me, Meowrio, and jon. Why doesn't anybody want to come. All the crisis has beeen taking care of. We are faithful mods including me, meowrio, and jon himself. (of course)

The chatroom is totally safe. We do NOT tolerate cussing, flame wars, etc., just like TMK's rules. If these events happen to occur, then the member is immediately kicked out and/or banned. We would NEVER abandon the Fungi Forums. ***Important*** marioguy aka. sadib100, has been FULLY banned from the chatroom until he can prove he has totally reformed. So you don't have to worry about that. If crazy things start to happen, (which is not likely now that jon fixed it) we will immediately fix the problem. So that's another thing you don't have to worry about.

We have a list of people we want to make mods. Some people we think are responible include Sapphira, Deezer, and some other people that we would know or you probably know from the Fungi Forums.

jon's reformed the chatroom so you can add sounds, graphics, and other things to make it more enjoyable. Also, you don't have to go through all that junk to get there.

All you do is type in a nickname, register your password, (free, of course) and chat. Pretty simple, eh?

He's apoligized to everyone he has gotten into a flame war about and has stopped with the "yays." So that means anybody he has gotten into a flame war with is welcome, since y'all are friends, I guess, now. I don't know.

So try out jon's chatroom soon!

Since marioguy aka sadib100 has done stupid things and then said he would act good again, I think we should take a vote of if he stays or if Deezer gets rid of him.

I've decided to give him ONE and ONE more chance to reform or get out. What I meant was I am voting to keep him here unless he lies and starts his junk up again. I don't know if I should be voting, myself.

What do you all think? Post here.

I've tried to play WTMK but it won't work. I have the latest upgrades for my RealPlayer and every time I've tried to play it, it says, "Invalid syntax." What's the deal, and what do I have to do to make it work?

Mario Chat / 40+ glitches from SMAS and one from SMW

I have about 40 or more glitches from SMAS that I have tried to send to Deezer but it didn't go through. So I'll be posting them soon. This is all on the SMAS cartridge. I don't know if it would work on seperate games like for the GBA's SMB3 or whatever.

But for now I just found a glitch from SMW on the SNES.
In the first castle you will encounter a P-switch under the fence deal you climb on. Kick the P-switch straight up, hold Y, and quickly jump on the fence and let the P-Switch hit you. It will be stuck on Mario in the front. Since his back is to you, yu can see the P-switch overhang Mario's body. It ewill drop once you let go of Y.
