Super Mario Sluggers? I hope Mario doesn't carry a gun in this game...

Well, I guess the Wii remote's motion control could make things kinda interesting.

(Isn't a bit weird how Mario Tennis and golf haven't made their debut on the Wii yet? Not like I want them to, but those are usually the first ones to get made)

Mario Chat / Re: Mario Party 9?

Except Wart.

And Tatanga (game-wise).

If they were to make a ninth Mario Party game, I hope it'd be the last one. We could probably make a story to justify it as the last Mario Party. Something like;

While Mario and friends were hosting their ninth (technically eleventh) party ever, Bowser prepares his troops for an assualt on the Mushroom Kingdom. He suceeds, since the heroes of the Mushroom Kingdom are too busy partying to really care. The toads cry out for a savior, but their cries go unheard amongst the chit chat of Mario's Party. When the characters emerge from the castle, they see the kingdom in ruins. Many Toads were mutated in the atomic bill carpet bombings, but no one really cares since they were already mutated fungi to begin with. Mario, seeing the damage caused, realizes that every person has their own duty in this world and his duty places him on the battlefield, not the gameboard. Thus, he vows never to party again and purchases many warbonds to help the war effort, and realizes the human essence of destiny.

Of course, knowing Nintendo, they would make Mario Party prequels so they can continue to pump out Mario Party games.

BTW, this is sarcasm.

Great! Now I can top all fifty of my pens!

To be honest, I was somewhat surprised Nintendo is still liscensing NSMB products, unless these were made two years ago.

How the in all that is mushroomy can you Hijack a thread? When I hear that phrase, I think of a lone bandit taking control of a train transporting gold to fort knox.

Anyway, all new members have to make a couple posts before they can make new threads, in order to gain the trust of the faculty.

I'm actually pretty excited for this game. My mom's a pretty big Mario Kart Fanatic, so we'll have lots of fun with this game.

For an amateur project, the Special effects are prooty good. Too bad it's only a joke :(. I almost got my mom to believe it, but the video stopped and I had to fix it, but I couldn't hold back the laughter any longer. Oh well.

With that out of the way...

Video Game Chat / Re: Brawl Downloadable Content
« on: March 29, 2008, 05:02:22 PM »
I have heard that Nintendo confirmed downloadable content for the Wii, but doesn't Nintendo's press site require a Name and Password to sample it's knowledge handed down by the Gaming gods themselves read it?

Otherwise, this sounds like a grand announcement. All I need now is to find Nintendo's 500-digit friend code so we can communicate with them in order to obtain such content.

Dang it, Brawl won't work on my Wii...

Does anyone have any possible suggestions before I ship it off to Nintendo (or someone else) for cleaning?

Tomorrow... God will say "Let there be Brawl!"
X-Box fanboy: Yeah, well why is your puny Nintendo Wii better then our 3manly?

Nintendo fanboy: Because God makes games exclusively for our console, meaning he likes it better! You wouldn't want to make God angry, would you?

X-Box fanboy: "God makes games exclusively for our console"? What kind of response is that?

*Lightning zaps the X-box fanboy*

Ironically enough, SSBB comes out on the Sabbath day (if you're a Christian/Jew, that is).

I proudly announce that I am doing absolutely nothing special to celebrate the release of the game!

...Other than run around and scream with excitement when I buy the game, of course.

We might as well accept it as the last one, because any game that doesn't have its creator involved almost always turns out bad.  (besides, it'd be nearly impossible to top Brawl, besides adding more characters to the mix)

What about Metroid? Gunpei Yokoi wasn't involved, but Retro made a fine continuation of the series.

On the topic of Brawl, I do believe there are a couple more things they could add, like more players for Multiplayer. Don't forget online chat. Maybe we could even take the fight into the third Dimension, as opposed to the 2.5th dimension being used now.

Video Game Chat / Re: Fav Mario Party Game
« on: March 03, 2008, 05:02:27 PM »
I've only played 4, 5 and 6. 4 was the first Mario Party I played and had some great board designs. Collecting all those presents was fun, but I only got to Wario before getting board (Ugh! Puns!) It also introduced some new innovations and some gewd minigames. And I liked the whole plot idea of celebrating your character's birthday. I rented 5 and 6, and was incredibly disappointed with the lackluster boards, being unable to play as Donkey Kong, and the sucky new power-up systems (rarely was I ever able to claim a space for myself in MP6). All and all, MP4 forever, Bai-buh.

Well, we've finally moved into or new home. Granted, this wasn't our choice (Condo was sold), but I'm still happy that we were able to find a townhouse this good. Plus, we managed to get our internet up faster than I thought we would.
