Mario Chat / Re: Pros and Cons of SSBM

Actually, the only Pros to the game is that it's selling so well and that it's a very violent fighting game. If you like very violent fighting games that sell really well, then SSBM is for you!

Game Help / Re: Does GameCube Play N64 Games?
« on: January 17, 2002, 02:39:34 PM »
I don't know, but if it did, you'd get to play Dr. Mario 64 with N64, which would be good, since most modern people don't have one anymore (they sold them). ;)

I seriously doubt it, though, for a good reason. GameCube's C button is an ANALOG STICK, while N64 had a controller with 4 C buttons, ONE FOR EACH DIRECTION. In many games it can make a big difference which one you press (i.e., in SM64, pressing C-down zooms out, while C-left rotates the camera). There may even be N64 games which require you to do certain things by holding two opposite C buttons, like C-left and C-right! Can you do that with an analog stick? Basically, the thought seems rather illogical to me.

Mario Chat / Re: weird Yoshi's Cookie Box
« on: January 11, 2002, 11:19:39 PM »
The instruction manual I read didn't mention charcters. The Vs. Mode doesn't show characters in the NES screenshots either. This would lead me to think that your emulator must've had the character choice as an exclusive feature, but when it's on the box too. . .

Here's the instructions I saw. Perhaps the only way to solve this mystery would be to get the NES version.

How about one for NES where you have to destroy all the bricks using a hammer, but you have to avoid enemies as well? You might also have to destroy ladders and stuff. You could even use bombs or trap enemies in barrels!

And before you start calling me an idiot because they don't make NES games anymore, I'd like to say: "They already released it!" It's called Wrecking Crew. ;)

They should try to release Yoshi's Cookie again if they can get permission from BPS. I've always liked that one.

He may be better than me, but he sure isn't smarter than me! At least I play puzzle games and expand my brain!

Now, what's a word to go with Puzzle? Ah!

Pokemon Puzzle League (yes, I have it, and I love it!)

Only one guess at a time please, P-Switch. Besides, Yoshi's Safari was right. Congrats, all, and especially frostbite, who got 8 answers. RNK and PM tie for second.

Nothing to do with SMBM (whatever that stands for!), but I thought I'd let you all know that I'm taking Spanish lessons, so I'd like to mention that (I know there's no HTML, pretend it's italicized) pntzoee gruñe

No, not Yoshi.

If y'all want, I'll modify 8 slightly so maybe it will be clearer.

8 is wrong (not PM or MIM)

6 (SMK) is right.
