I have it on SNES. Outstanding game. I loved doing the glitch to eat Baby Mario, but you can't continue further without him.

There's a few videos of the glitch, and the one says you can't advance if you do it.

The only thing stopping you from going any further is the fact that it doesn't let you through the door :(.
