I'll buy it. Joe's voice was not quite up to par in the Japanese version of the game. Now if only Speed can be put in between now and release, somehow...

Eeeeeeeugh! Mixed emotions!

I mean, on the one hand, YES I CAN PLAY THE GAME IN ENGLISH!

On the other hand, FFFFFFF I SPENT 80 DOLLARS ON IMPORTING IT.

Oh well. I'll be 2/3rds of the way to being a true fan.

...now, since Speed Racer is pretty much THE most recognised Tatsunoko character in America, I'm gonna hope that he gets shoehorned in...

Bumpin' this topic to state that while the America release of TvC drops one character (Hakushon Daimaou), it adds 5 new characters (I'm assumin' 3 Tatsunoko and 2 Capcom). Here's hoping for Speed Racer!

As for my thoughts, CHOKE ON YOUR CAMERA FRANK WEST. YOU STOLE CHARLIE/ROUGE/LEON'S SPOT. The others were a bit predictable but fit in fine.

Considering Capcom would've had to negotiate with Warner Bros for the rights to use that character, it would've been far too much of a hassle to even bother with him. Hence, why the remaining Tatsunoko characters are all from series already represented.

I'm still bitter that Capcom didn't even consider Captain Commando for a glorious return in this game.

Capcom already had to negotiate the rights to most of the characters involved anyway. That was why people did not expect the game to come out in the first place.

Maybe Warner Brothers didn't want to play ball, or maybe Capcom didn't even want to try. We'll likely never know the reason and it doesn't even matter.

Mega Man Legends in the game is an automatic buy.

MegaMan Volnutt is ridiculous in the game and it is super fun anyway so it's still an auto-buy for me as well since I've never been a Speed Racer fan.

You really are a know-nothing. Speed Racer:

-Knows kung-fu
-Has a former pro-wrestler dad who could potentially teach him
-Knows how to use a bazooka
-Can take on an entire room full of disgruntled racers
-Killed a great white shark with only a knife

Also, before you say "But blahblahblah only---", remember that Captain Falcon, a favored character of many in the Smash games, came from a game where he just drives. Not to mention several characters within Tatsunoko vs. Capcom itself. Roll has a moveset based on cleaning. Donjoro has a moveset based on slapping and having her henchmen do ridiculous things. Hakushon Daimao, who is removed from the US version, came from a show that was basically Fairly Odd Parents without the "repeating one joke fifty times" that had like no combat in it, and in TvC he can destroy you. I'm sure Speed Racer would have been able to hold his own.

Last I checked, Daimao was at the very bottom tier, so I don't see how he can destroy someone.

Also, much as I don't care for Speed, I can totally see his potential now, but I still prefer seeing more Gatchaman/Tekkaman characters simply because sentai-based series are awesome like that.

I don't prefer seeing more Gatchaman. While I think sentai series are kinda cool, I don't like seeing the two Tatsunoko properties who already had two reps (Gatchaman and Yatterman) getting yet another rep. I'd always prefer seeing a new franchise, or at least something that didn't have two. Like, Tekkaman Blade, I'm fine with. I wouldn't mind Nue from Karas, or Braking Boss from Casshern Sins.

Of course I wanna see Speed most of all, since I feel he deserves it and I grew up watching Speed Racer. But whatever, I'm sure it's legal battles.
