I'd help out, but my discretionary funds have dried up and I have most of the games in the potato sack anyway.

Er, if you already have them, play them. I have Super Meat Boy running right now, and I'm going to be grabbing the potatoes for Audiosurf and Defense Grid tomorrow morning after I reinstall those games.

Oh, I guess I misread.  I thought buying them sped up the launch, not playing them.  Cogs here I come.

Edit:  Cogs is actually better then expected.

This Potato Sack thing is ****ing me off, because even my dad's high-speed connection can't handle five or six programs updating at once, and I don't think it's worth it just so a couple of weird jokes can up in show in games I don't play anymore.

Incidentally, thanks for Portal. Now, if only my sorry-ass laptop could run it at a decent rate...

I could've sworn a thing popped up twice last night saying Glorb was playing Portal 3. Maybe I was just tired.

You can "hack" Steam to display that you're playing whatever you want. Since Glorb has converted into 100% troll, I guarantee that's what he was doing.

I know literally nothing about how computers work, so somebody please tell me what I need to buy to stop this kind of thing from happening.

A graphics card. Your computer is using your processor for graphics, which isn't good enough for higher end games.

Unless I'm mistaken, he's on a laptop, so a more accurate answer would be "a new computer."

Well, someone will hopefully be generous enough to help finance me getting a PC when I go off to college, but until then, this is what I've got.

My laptop runs games just fine. Nothing wrong with laptops.
