Yellow Yoshi is right. SM64 and SMS were both brilliant games and while Luigi's Mansion was good, Luigi needs a better game.

X-Box and PS2 Suck with a capital "S".

Picture a two-player simultaneous 3D Mario adventure...
Picture two players running around, doing special joint moves...
Picture Mario and Luigi leaping into the air and doing a wall kick... off of each other!

...The 20th anniversary of Super Mario Brothers' release is October, 2005...  I wonder if Nintendo's planning anything, like they did with Yoshi's Island in '95?
