The red koopa shell was a reference. And so was the "Let's get it on like Diddy Kong" and "I got Bowser on the last rope!" This was so funny!

Yeah, those references are awesome.  I now know that those guys over there at HSR.com have played a Nintendo game in their lifetimes.
I always figured "Time to tip the scales" was Wario's everyday motto.

The Cheat once dressed as Toad for Decemberween.  For another Decemberween, The King of Town dress as Mario.

After the one where King of Town is Mario, you can click on him and play "Super Kingio Bros", which is sad because it is impossible to jump over the oncoming goomba... and the one where the Cheat is Toad, at the end you can click on him and he says, "Here we go!  Ah-wo-wo-wo-wo!"

That was the funniest thing I've ever seen!
People who like video games should also like Nintendo. People who don't like Nintendo obviously don't like video games.
