What do you think of Ken Kutaragi's comments about the PS3 having a high price tag (over $400)? Is he telling the truth, or is he just creating mindless hype so Sony's competitors can worry?
People who like video games should also like Nintendo. People who don't like Nintendo obviously don't like video games.

That's nice. It's a shame it wasn't what was asked.

I don't understand why the Playstation 3 having a high price tag would worry its competitors. If anything, I think it's better for them, especially the Revolution one of whose "major" selling points is its supposed low price.

From what I've heard, the PS3's speculated release price is sitting around in the $400 - $500 range, not much higher and not much lower. I expect it to remain about that.

At least the games will still be 30-50 dollars right?

Nope. Analysts say next gen games will be at least $60, 10 bucks higher than this generation.
As a game that requires six friends, an HDTV, and skill, I can see why the majority of TMK is going to hate on it hard.

Not if you only buy used games.  :)

Dang! Then it will be hard to get games then.

I don't think the prices will stay that way for long, however. In the past, sales went down, prices went down, sales went back up. I hope that's what happens.

That made me mad when they lowered the price of a DS, shortly after I bought it. $30.00 difference people! $30.00 difference!

Actually, I've been saving up for about a year (give or take a few months) when I first heard rumors of the PS3 and Xbox 360. So far, I've got $71.68, which is enough to get me...a used GameCube. With no games. Dang it!

I don't really care about the PS3. I'm rooting for Nintendo only. The PS3 can just rack up dust.(remember, this is just my opinion :)

The PS3 probably will rack up dust considering the price is "Not for households" as one Sony employee stated and given how much developers are disliking the Dev kits they recieved, I can't really see how Sony is gonna stay in 1st place in the Next Gen race.

I know. Probably those fanboys will help by buying 5 PS3s when they get it so it will stay on the top. Don't get me wrong, I like Playstation, but I plan on getting the REV first. Then maybe the PS3.

Yeah, that's our boy, Chup! I remember very clearly paying $60 for StarCraft 64.
