Vidgchtr, are you calling me crazy? Because the only thing that will make Mario more appealing to a broader demographic is lots of violence. If it makes you feel better, they could thinly disquise the characters by renaming Mario Nario or whatever.

While I find this topic...dumb (sorry), I guess you could stick the original NES SMB cartidge in the N64 and a magical genie will come to you because you were on LSD. Why would you be on LSD? That's the only reason you'd want to play the original SMB on your N64.

No, Mario Kart NEEDS blood and gore and guns and explosions! Come to think of it, you could just take a game like Death Rally (for the PC,it was this awesome 3D Realms combat racing game with Duke Nukem in it), make it full 3D, add tons of gore and guns and stuff, then replace everyone with Mario characters (except Duke...he's too cool) and it would be even better!

While Mario would definately NOT belong in a GTA game or a hyper-violent Duke Nuken 3D-esque shooter, Mario might be able to appear as an unlockable character in a Mortal Kombat game or something. Mostly because Mario beating up Raiden or Shao Kahn would be radical.
