If Sonic the Hedgehog gets to appear as a ballon at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, howcome Mario never gets to make an appearence?  So will Mario ever get to make an appearence at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as a ballon, a walkaround character, etc?

I seem to recall Mario appearing in at least one Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I want to say it was around the time SML2 was released, since I can remember playing my GameBoy that Thanksgiving, taking a short break to watch the parade, and seeing Mario..

Pikachu has got to go because Pokemon is stupid.  Can't Nintendo ever sit Pikachu out just once so that Mario can be in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?

So do I.  I don't know why Nintendo never wants to give Mario an appearence at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade giving it to Pikaturd every year.  I'm sorry, but Mario is the face of Nintendo as Mickey Mouse is the face of Disney.  I believe that every character that is the face of a company like Nintendo and Disney should have at least one appearence in the parade.  I don't mind Sonic being in the parade because he is the face of Sega.  What do you guys think?

Pikachu is a multi-gazzilion dollar franchise. In the late nineties-early early two thousands era, Pokémon was huge.

Maybe it's an issue with licensing costs like Wreck-It Ralph. They said Mario's not in it because of his licensing fee being astronomical.

I wonder how one major company inquires to another about rights, etc.

They got Bowser, and referenced Mario. Plus, wasn't them not knowing what to do with Mario the main reason?

What Chef posted in his reply is downright insulting, saying that I have to go because i'm stupid, and to say that they hate me is absoutely degrading.  Now I don't say anything insulting to anybody on this board, and I ask that you guys to treat me with the same respect the way I treat you.

I'm celebrating because it's fun to imagine what would it be like if there were a Miyamoto balloon, not a Mario balloon, like the one Ultima described.  That's why I quoted him when I sung the Hallelujah Chorus.  I wanted to thank him.  Follow the context clues, dude.

And all chefs are nice.

Man, I'd like to visit that timeline some time.

I will stop that, but in turn, I need you to stop calling me a bad writer.  I don't like it when you do that.  It hurts me because I want to write stuff for a living.  Even if this is the Internet, remember that words can hurt.

Also, let's face it: you think I'm bad at writing because I didn't give you the kind of movie you wanted.  You got an origin story rather than an "absurdist comedy" (I shudder at the thought).  Determining whether or not I qualify as a writer SOLELY BASED ON WHAT KIND OF STORY I GIVE YOU is no way to judge a written work.  Learn to appreciate that I'm trying to do something nice for you all instead of publically humiliating me at every turn!  Grow up!  All of you!  GROW THE **** UP!

All users whom have ever had the word "kid" in their username shall remain forever stupid.

I definitely won't dispute you on the stupid part, but I haven't had "kid" in my username for a bit over a year now.
