Mario Chat / Whatever Happened to Luigi?

Yeah, he appears in "Paper Mario" but not as a playable character.

He didn't appear in "Super Mario 64" and only at the end of "Suer Mario World 2".

He's gone from a hero to someone in distress or lounging about. Why the stepback from the spotlight?

I sure hope he has an active role in the next Mario game.

I was curious about two things when reading
"A Little Insight Into Mario".

I'll admit, it's been forever since I played Super Mario World 2. So it's possible I'm forgetting this. But when was it stated that mario and Luigi were natives of the Mushroom Kingdom sent to Earth?

Also, where did the infor about Mario and Luigi meeting their mother when they first arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom?

Sorry if I'm a bother. I'm not trying to cause trouble or anything. Just curious as heck. :)
