Last two DLC course packs for New Super Mario Bros. 2 arriving Dec. 20th

The final two DLC course packs for New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be arriving on North American 3DS systems on December 20th.  Each course pack costs $2.50 and will consist of three new levels.  The "Mystery Adventures Pack" centers around solving puzzles to find hidden coins and pathways, while the "Impossible Pack" pits normal, non-Super Mario against three levels devoid of any coins or power-up items.

Interesting new packs, but why did they decide to make it the last round of DLC ?  I image a lot of people will be getting a 3DS for the first time this holiday and that a later pack would remind/tell them of the ability and benefit of getting a new pack to extend their play. 

Maybe they are working on DLC for NSMB Wii U?
