4KidsEntertainment did not make the Pokémon anime.  I don't know who did (and I don't exactly care...), but it certainly wasn't an American company; they simply translated it.  Figures a Digimon fan would make such a mistake...

Oh, Nintendo does own Pokémon, though a second-party developer (I forget the name, and once again, I don't really care...) originally made the game.

Super Mario Land was made by a different design team than the one that makes the mainstream Mario series.
Super Mario USA is not a true Mario game.
Hotel Mario, as well as the educational Mario games, were not made by Nintendo at all.
Yoshi's Island...Yoshi's Island is awesome, you fool!  Oi...

Yes, I know about all of that.  I found the Star Egg pretty much by myself, but I used the guide to find all the hidden chests (and yes, you CAN get all of them).  I think the wishes you can change are Frogfucius's (get him the Cricket Jam) and Mallow's parents (get him reunited with the 'rents).

Mario Chat / Re: What is the longest time you ever played a Mario game?

Gah, you're making me feel all weird now!  I beat Mario 64 with all 120 stars in about two weeks...A short time after I had a dream that involved the 121st star in some sort of desert level.  Crazy, huh?

Kirby and Mega Man will probably never appear in one game together.  If Capcom decides to engineer the game with Nintendo and stick Mega Man in there, they'd have to change the play mechanics so it would be very different from the prequel, which HAL Laboratories made (to avoid copyright problems and such).  It's not likely Capcom and HAL (the company that controls the Kirby character) will ever help make the same game.  I mean, have you ever heard of more than one second- or third-party developers working on a single project together?

"PSX" was something of a buzzword used to refer to the Playstation before it came out (standing for "Playstation Experimental"), but for some unknown reason, people kept on using it after the console was released in September of '95.  PSM (Playstation Magazine) acknowledges it as an incorrect term and denounces using it.  I suggest you do just that, so as not to spread the ignorance.

Hey, there's more than just one good song there!  Most of them are corny 1980s pop music, but I love "I Drove All Night" by Roy Orbison.  Roy Orbison kicks ass. (Actually, I have the original cassette tape and didn't know they even made it into a CD)

Oh, and doesn't arigatou gozaimasu mean "good thank you?"  'Cause "ohayo gozaimasu" means good morning, and ohayo alone means "morning", so I....forget it.  My Japanese linguistic skills are still in the sub-par level.  Roy Orbison rocks, though.

Hey, I was just waiting for you to admit that you were wrong.  Now that you have, I'd be happy to drop it.  No love lost there...

I wouldn't want a deep, emotional plot for a Mario game; it just wouldn't FEEl right.  Can you imagine Mario holding a dying Peach in his arms and weeping his Italian eyes out, then jumping up and frying Bowser with the Super Medallion Peach Revenge Bomber Special Cannon Beam?  It's just not a Mario game if you get too emotional.

Also, did anyone else notice that besides SMRPG, Bowser hasn't used his hammers since SMB?  I kind of liked the idea that he actually had a weapon...Of course, it took Squaresoft to come up with the brains to bring it back once, so only time will tell...

Miyamoto-san was NEVER "hired" by NOA.  He's always worked at the Nintendo of Japan headquarters in Kyoto, Japan.  Your statement about "Miyamoto's 'american debut'" also doesn't make sense, as that game was just as Japanese or American as all the other Mario games.  It was created and developed in Japan, and translated into English in the U.S., just as all the other Mario games (except for Mario is Missing, Mario's Time Machine, and Super Mario USA) have been.  I don't know whether you actually believe that you're correct (which you're not), or are trying to lie to us, but either way, everything you've said so far has been completely backless.

All I want to know for now is what your SOURCE was for this (probably untrue) post?  Also, why are you changing what you said?  Before you claimed Miyamoto wasn't paid for his games up until 1996 (when Super Mario 64) was released, and now you're saying 1990.  I think we can apply the saying "You can't tell the same lie twice" here.  It seem as if you're trying to cover up your tracks.  So, if you really did read this from a publication, tell me WHERE.  Until then (and probably after), you won't have any credibility at all on this subject.

Oh, and this isn't "flaming".  If I see someone posting lies on a message board, then I have the right to make it clear that this person is spouting out untruths.  It's a debate, a debate that I seem to be winning.

I knew there would be some people here with "lower intelligence" when Deezer first opened the forums, but this is ridiculous.  What's your source saying that Miyamoto-sama was never paid for the games?  He practically designed them all (except for SML, and possibly others)!  Here's a quote from the Super Mario World strateg guide, "Mario Mania", in Miyamoto's interview:

"Q. How and when did you get started in the video game business?

A.I started working at Nintendo Company Ltd. in Kyoto, Japan in 1977 as a designer.  At first I designed characters and artwork for arcade games.  But in 1980, I directed the design and artwork for Donkey Kong, in which Mario first appeared."

I don't think he even would have stayed at Nintendo for over 15 YEARS if he wasn't getting paid!  He would have quit a long time ago, instead of supposedly waiting until 1996 to stop being a slave to Nintendo(that's what work without pay is: slavery).  Get your facts straight, Super; creating lies like this is insulting to the spirit of Miyamoto-sama.

The metroids weren't villians, Mega.  They were an unknowing specie being manipulated by the space pirates.  They attack everyone and everything, but it's out of instinct, not evil intentions.  I don't know what you mean by "the Machine", Bass is a Capcom character, so he won't be appearing on the N64, and no one would even remember the Eggplant Wizard except for a few fans.

I've never actually beaten the original SMB for NES, and SMB2 and 3 didn't display the credits when you beat them, but I distinctly remember SMW credits displaying Miyamoto's name ("Main Programmer" and "Producer", I think). I also have the SMW guide that has the interview with him, and he was openly proclaimed as Mario's creator in books and magazines published long before SM64 was ever made, so your statement about Miyamoto getting no credit for his work until SM64 was made is complete and utter bull****.  It just makes me mad when people state untruths because of either the desire to dupe people or their own stupidity.

They're not Koopas, obviously.  In SMB2 Shy Guys were made by Wart with the Dream Machine.  And guess what else?  They ARE wearing masks because they're shy!  It says so in the SMB2 manual, and I think it's kind of obvious!  Honestly, some of these dumber posts hurt my head...
