I did just recently--I still have the Star, Special and All-Cup modes left to beat though.  I'm having trouble with that.  Gaaah, I want to unlock King Boo and Petey!

You just want me to get banned!  Heh.  I'm sure some of the more dirty-minded posters here can work it out for themselves.

I am indeed a giggly little girl.

Heh, I was actually coming in to ask about your name, but then I saw your sig.  "Aromatic Leaf" sounds like an obscure Paper Mario item to me.  Cook Koopa Leaf and Lemon together or something . . .

Anyway, welcome!  I don't post here much but I've been around for quite awhile.  And am apparently the oldest girl on the forums at 19--I didn't realize that.

Don't let them scare you off about the tobacco, heh.

I'm Wario, as per usual.  I get Wario on all of these.  I'm not sure why . . . *fondles wallet lovingly*

IS, I'd guess the word is "inferiority."

Chupperson's right . . . it was Donkey Kong all along.  I love me some Snopes.com.  But avengah didn't mean that we pronounce cat "keat" . . . he said "ae," the dipthong sound, not "ea."  Don't ask me to explain a dipthong because I'm no linguistics expert and frankly I can't, no matter what my moochy roommate seems to think.

I don't really think avengah meant any offense or that his way was the one right way.  But avengah, try to expand your world view a little.  I only mean the comment about England being the "mother land" and that form of English being "normal."  It's not; it's the ORIGINAL form, but it's not any more NORMAL than American English or any other language.  Also, I hate when people make the mistake of suggesting that all Americans are of British stock.  There are people living in this country whose ancestors have never seen England.  I don't think they'd appreciate you assigning your country as their "mother."

Also, "Jap" is a slur.  Just sayin'.

That is all.

There's an Italian-American (granted, I'm not 100% sure how many generations removed he is, but I think his parents were actually from Italy) comedian named Mario Cantone, who pronounces his name "Mare-ee-o."

I don't think any one way is more right or wrong than the other in general, but "Mah-ree-o" is definitely right for the Nintendo character in particular.  A lot of words have two different pronunciations and one's not any more right than the other . . . like "obligatory."

Well, 18.  Close enough.  Pyrasaur, I have a few girlfriends who love gaming too and there's nothing better than a Smash Brothers tourney!  ^^  And yes, one of them is always Pikachu, one's always Peach, and one's always Kirby.  How I love squashing them brutally with Bowser . . . um, I mean, I like pink!

Wario rhymes with Mario.  "Obey Wario, destroy Mario!"  As for Lakitu, I say "Lah-KEE-too," but I can see how there'd be other ways to say it and I'm not sure mine's the right one.

*blinks*  Hello quick replier!

That was why I had to check . . . I'm not sure whether you can get more in 3-1, or how far ahead you can go in either and still be able to come back to the warp.  If there's no door that Xes behind you as you move on to another section of the level, it may be possible to get much more than 127 . . . but it's been forever since I played.  Of course, now that I've lost the buggered game (I love how the FF don't censor those words . . . ), how I long for the sound of Kamek's laughter.  *croons an awful folk song to express her pain*

Nah, that wasn't it, but it was pretty close.  The question was "How many points is it possible to rack up at one time?"  Nevermind the fact that the goal ring only allows you 100 no matter what, I mean despite that.  Of course, I'm not entirely sure of the answer since I need to take a look at the game first . . . still, if you want something to do, play around with it a bit.

By the way, I had read those Japanese names for the courses on the site before and I just have to say that "Mario Staff is also Surprised Course" is the funniest thing ever, not including bad doujinshi.  They should have left the names that way for the American version . . .

Bad news . . . my copy of Yoshi's Island appears to have gone off to whereever my lost video games go to play, where it's probably having a ball with Snowboard Kids 1 and 2.  So I can't do my research until I find it . . . which means, once again, I give the floor over to someone else until such time as I think of another good question or find the sodding game.

Ooh, I know EXACTLY the spot you mean with the coins!  But I forget what level it's in . . .
