401. You buy a lizard and name it yoshi
402. When you point your finger at someone, a fireball comes out of your hand, giving the person a 3rd degree burn.
403. You put a wart remover on the right side of your screen when you play smb2, thinking that it'll help you defeat wart.

I watch this cartoon almost every day! you know what, i have a gap in my teeth to, but it's not as big as Edd's. He can fit a key in his gap. My favorite episode of that cartoon is Pop Goes the Ed.

Mario Chat / Re: I had a strange Mario dream
« on: December 31, 2001, 05:26:51 PM »
I had a strange dream, It was pretty more Nintendo related but that is close. The night before I had the dream, I was reading Toasty64's Mario's High School Days. Then I had the dream. I was on another planet, kind of like the ones Fox from Starfox would explore. I was invisible, then I saw a child version of Fox himself crying. I ran and hid behind a large rock. Then I saw his father coming toward him. I could tell it was him from the sunglasses he wore. "What's wrong son?" said the father. "I fell from that large rock," Fox replied, pointing toward the rock I hid behind. I started to touch the rock. "This rock feels weird," I said.
Then, the rock fell, making a loud sound.
"That's not a rock, it's flat cardboard!" The father exclaimed. "Oops," I said. I saw them staring. Then I felt embarassed.
"Wait, i'm invisible," I whispered to myself.
Then I ran away, then the dream ended.
The next morning, I continued reading mario's high school days, i was reading the episode with fox crying. then i said "wow, that was weird."
I also had another dream, that was mario related. I was playing an NES at someone's house. I played Super Mario 2
and used Peach. I was in world 1-3, then Peach got a weird key from the grass. It wasn't like the regular key, it had a skull instead a rectangle head, kind of like a master key that can open anything. then the game paused itself, then a weird rhyming  message appeared on the screen playing the underground music. It said, "Find a potion, and a vase, this key is useful in many ways. In sub-space, in the vase put the key down. But do it very quickly, for Phantos never wear a frown.
Then the game unpaused, then I found the potion next to the building. I put the potion on top of the vase. Then the key moved next to my player. I picked it up then went into sub-space. I wasn't able to go in the vase with an item, then I got off the vase, and dropped the key in, then, a
1 minute timer came on the screen, then about 5 phantos chased my player, then i quickly jumped in the vase, beating the timer. Then, there was a screen, it was a level select screen, about levels before AND after world 7. I ran to go tell my brother, then the dream ended. I do not like it when my dreams end early, oh well.

Site Discussion / Hm, I wonder if this was ever brought up...
« on: November 07, 2005, 06:45:32 PM »
Forgive me if this was ever tried, but what if one more rule, this time regarding religion and politics, two topics which everyone here is always divided in, was made?

At another forum I frequent, a "No religion/politics" rule was made after tons of people kept arguing about both. It actually has worked quite well. All people who didn't comply with that rule and made a thread about either topic was told that it was against the rules to make a topic regarding it and the thread would then be locked or deleted. If people started talking about it in an existing topic, they'd be told to shape up and refrain from continuing. If no one listened, the thread would be closed after awhile.

...If no one thinks this is a good idea for the forum, I'll completely understand, and just, uh, crawl back into my little hole until I can think of another thread that gets a lot of attention.

Video Game Chat / Show pictures of your game collections
« on: September 03, 2005, 07:08:20 PM »
Don't hurt me if this has been done already. I tried searching for a topic similar to the one I am making now, and it didn't seem to work.

You may show pictures of your video game collections here. For example, here are mine:

My Gamecube collection, as well as my very limited DS collection, accompanied by Gir, and two dead plants.

My GCN Disc holder, which holds my first 12 GCN discs. I won this.

My N64 carts. The ones in the front are Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Majora's Mask. You can also see a GBA cart holder, and a CD case which contains a Banjo-Kazooie OST.

The box art of my GCN games, in poor light. Notice the water stains on the bottom two boxes.

The discs of each game. Yes, I am aware I have been showing three pictures of the same collection.

The memory cards I have used (though, I don't use the Animal Crossing card, the save file for that game is on the second from the left.

Now, post yours.

Video Game Chat / Vidgmchtr's day at the Nintendo World Store
« on: May 14, 2005, 08:36:54 PM »
It was a lovely day in Manhattan, a great day for a block party....held by Nintendo.

It wasn't a huge block party, but to give you an idea of where it was, it was in Rockafeller Center, close by the skating rink you usually see on TV, near the place where they put that huge tree in every Christmas that you also usually see on TV, and not far from NBC studios. As that banner said, it lasted from 1 to 5 PM. I entered the city around noon, enough time to grab lunch before going.

There was a huge tower in the middle of the street, seperating the regular Nintendo part of the block from the Pokémon area of the block, which I wasn't around.

There were many Gamecube Kiosks featuring various games, at least 15. There were DS and GBA SP kiosks as well. A few of the GCN and DS Kiosks were around and inside this vehicle.

The game featured in the contest was their most recent, Donkey Konga 2. The man in this picture is explaining the rules to the little children (and me).

Different Kiosk, where people practiced the game. Next to it was a registration center for their bi-hourly raffle.

After seeing enough of the party, I went to go inside the store. This was the exit...

...This was the entrance.

I waited in that long line. Fortunately, the line actually moved a few feet every 2 minutes or so.

When we got closer to the entrance, my father decided to take a picture of the DS section.

As we entered, we immediately went up to the second floor via elevator. A staff member was telling a small child to look out the window as we went up. We looked out the window to see that huge vehicle and DS kiosks out the window.

We looked back and saw various GCN kiosks, about as many as there was outside.

I went up to a free one (as did two other eager fans) and played some Melee.

When I finished, I went over to the display cases to see special things.

This one was supposedly a case showing the history of Nintendo's handhelds, from the original Game & Watch to the GBA SP.

The original Nintendo Famicom, next to the NES.

Unfortunately, there were other great things I didn't get a picture of, like various special colors of the GBA SP,  that had designs on them, including the ones that looked like the NES and Famicom controllers, and one that had the Triforce on it. Also, there was a case showing the original Hanafuda cards made back in the late 1800's.

As we left, we took a picture of the elevator, which had silhouettes of Nintendo characters (mostly Mario ones).

It was a great day for me.

General Chat / Wallpapers you have used
« on: March 20, 2005, 03:52:59 PM »
I'm very interested in knowing what kind of wallpapers you guys used, so I thought I'd show mine.

Let's go!

#1

When I first got this computer, I was a real InuYasha fanatic, so I thought, why the heck not? It's my computer.

#2

After awhile, I got a little tired of my first wallpaper, so I downloaded the one Adult Swim made. It was "hot pink yeah yeah"!

#3

And, getting tired of the 2nd one, I downloaded this piece of eye-candy.

Interesting to note, that was my last wallpaper before I completely upgraded the Operating System.

#4

I upgraded the OS, and once again let InuYasha and Kagome grace my computer's background.

#5

After I heard Pikmin 2 was about to come out, I was over excited and put this Desktop up. I also had a counting widget thing that hit 0 the day it came out.

#6*

Do As Infinity is my favorite J-Rock band, so I put this one up for awhile.

#7

Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda game of all time, and I was currently playing it when I had this up.

#8

I love ZIM. And my computer.

#9

This was the last wallpaper I used in Jaguar. I thought it made my desktop look bigger.

After awhile with #9, I cycled through all 9 pictures every 60 seconds (the computer did it automatically :P) until upgrading from Jaguar to Panther.

#10

I was into Meteos when I put this wallpaper up. It was also my first wallpaper since I upgraded to Panther. It was also my last, as I upgraded to Tiger after only 4 weeks of using Panther.

#11

Stop 'n' Swop. First Tiger wallpaper, too.

#12

New year, new wallpaper, this time, of a game I got for Christmas.

#13

Sapphira once used this paper. I really liked it.

#14

Taken at an aquarium blah blah blah you guys saw it a buncha times.

#15

It made me laugh. And I was overdue for a new one.

#16

Communism lol

#17

'nother Majora's Mask wallpaper. Hey, it's a good game.

#18

Treble clef and eighth notes. I be a band geek.

#19

Mario discusses his dreams with Luigi.

#20

Those aren't hams.

#21**

My friend Ray, always upbeat and in a good mood. No link to it.

#22***

Yay tanukis! Yay Pom Poko! Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki ftw.

Again, after this wallpaper, I could not find another suitable wallpaper, so I had my computer cycle through the previous ones, this time every 5 minutes instead of 1.

#23

I do like Sonic the Hedgehog. He's pretty awesome. Especially when he's voiced by Steve Urkel.

#24

Yay Goof Troop!

#25***

Pom Poko again, this time, it's winter.

#26**

Two friends playing in a hot spring.

#27**

Um....

And, my current wallpaper:
#28**

Picking cherries with the best friend....Who isn't wearing pants.

*I had no picture of this wallpaper when it was my current wallpaper, so I took it later on, and tried to make it look like it was taken at that time. That Graphite apple in the upper left hand corner is supposed to be Aqua, but turned Graphite, which, at the time, was the current color scheme.

**I don't link to these wallpapers for various reasons you don't really need to hear. They're up in my Photobucket gallery though, if you'd like to see them.

***Thanks to a clever idea of MaxVance's, I made a "G" version of this, by moving my "One time...." folder over a part of the wallpaper people such as Mr. Melee or Sapphira would find "nsfw". An "uncensored" version is in my album as well.

Now, show me all of the ones you guys used.
NOTE: If you ever want to use one of the wallpapers I've used, just e-mail me and I can send you it.

You may have heard this group on the radio (An invention which I GREATLY DETEST). Two of their songs sound so similar, they sync up perfectly!

General Chat / Getting even with School Teachers
« on: September 22, 2004, 04:09:49 PM »
Ever had a teacher that just annoyed the stuffing out of you, and you got back at him/her REALLY good, good enough that you don't even get in trouble?

Well, here are a few of my stories, although told a couple of times in #tmk:

My 6th Grade English/Science teacher was probably the worst teacher I've ever had, next to my 4th grade teacher.

Close to the beginning of the year, she saw a binder with the name "Michael" on it, she threw it on the floor and kicked it under the table, and basically yelled in my face for about 5 minutes saying my Binder had to be under my chair, not on the table. After she finished, I go "Uh, I hate to burst your bubble, but that wasn't my binder." I pointed to my binder tucked neatly under my chair saying "THIS is my binder. You might want to look closer at the names of the binders before you point fingers." She turned red, and all the students started laughing at her. She tried to get me in trouble, and called my parents, saying exactly what she said to me and what I replied with. My parents started laughing at her, and she turned red again. My father explained to her that I was quite the smart one and should not be messed with.

From then on, she just hated me, and tried to get me in trouble when she got the chance, but, failing miserably in the end.

She once threw a test paper at me because I didn't finish it, and she threw it at an angle so it'd give me a papercut. It JUST missed my eye, giving me a paper cut below my eyebrow. I told my father this, which he became concerned with.

When we had to do reports on things in Washington D.C., I handed mine in, and she immediately accused me of plagiarism, and called my father. My father then scolded at her ignorance and told her everything I made was original, because he watched me do my report, and checked it over.

And, on the last day of this Washington D.C. trip I went on, I had to go to the bathroom, and when I got out, I almost lost the Group, and she found me and got me in trouble. Thankfully, it was the last day and it was the last thing we saw before going home. When we got home, she picked me up off my bus seat and went to my parents, and told them about everything. It was pretty stupid to explain that I had to go to the bathroom and almost lost the group, when they were actually in front of me and I didn't know it. My mother started laughing at her, and my father said he was getting sick of her complaining, and demanded that she'd apologize to me. She did apologize, but I know she didn't mean it. I then said "It's okay, now, get your hand off my wrist." She hesitated for about 10 seconds. I then yelled "NOW!" as loudly as I could. She then took her hand off me, and walked away, annoyed.

She remained quiet towards me to the end of the year, and ignored me whenever I raised my hand to answer a question, and didn't say anything when I asked her something. In the following school years, she ignored me a few times whenever I passed by her. The only thing she said to me after that was "I hate backpacks like these" after she saw me with a huge schoolbag, you know, the ones capable of sending people to the hospital if thrown hard enough and full of huge text books.

Anyone else have something they'd like to say about a certain teacher they've had?

Video Game Chat / ESRB Ratings
« on: August 07, 2004, 03:57:52 PM »
I was reading a website last night that had people chatting about ESRB. They mainly talked about how parents keep overlooking the ratings and say that M rated video games are completely harmless, when they say that their kids sneaking into an R rated movie is horrible.

Do any of you think ESRB is doing a good job informing parents about what video games contain?
