Quote from: Grace Llewellyn
Regardless of what the law or your teachers have to say about this, [young people] are as human as anyone over the age of 18 or 21, yet, 'minors' are one of the most oppressed groups of people in the world, and certainly the most discriminated against legally.

Also, Suffix, it's not pedophobia, it's more like pedo-discrimination.

I'm personally distgusted with today's society. In today's world, there's a new kind of discrimination going on. It's not racism, it's ageism. People are being discriminated because they haven't reached the magical age of 18, where every ounce of "malicious behavior" is somehow removed from their bodies within a matter of seconds after growing to said age.
Teenagers can't do certain things simply because everyone fears that teenagers are the Anarchist, pot-smoking, Halo-obsessed, binge-drinking, lazy, stupid punks everyone stereotypes them as. One teenager ends up hurting someone else in self-defence, and suddenly, all teenagers are labeled as horrible, violent people? And when one adult hurts someone just for the sake of hurting someone, adults are still treated better than teenagers who haven't done anything? It's a stupid double-standard that shouldn't exist.
And I read somewhere that all teenagers are evil and it's their own fault. Maybe we only act the way we do because of the rules society made up that restrict what we can and can't do?
And what's this about curfews that only affect people under the age of 18? Are they the only people that break the law? Are adults unable to break the law?
And not being able to own a firearm until you're 18. That's pretty stupid, are people saying that only teenagers kill? Or are they afraid that teenagers' minds are somehow unable to comprehend the sight of a gun, and will shoot themselves?
It's becoming harder and harder for teens to get jobs. People see us as inexperienced and stupid. Well, how are we supposed to get job experience then?
To get a job, you need experience.
To get experience, you need to get a job.
To get a job, you need experience.
Circular reasoning.

Also, one more thing: school's considered a job for students. Well, why can't we quit our job without getting arrested? Any adult can quit his/her job. So why can't we?
School isn't the only way to obtain knowledge.

At the beach, there's this bluff. It's like a hill, but at an 80 degree angle. It's over 100 yards from top to bottom.
I decide to run up the hill.
Near the top, I realize I won't make it. So I make my way down. I lose control and start running, reaching a top speed of at least 15 MPH (or so my friends said). All I remember is hitting my face against a tree branch and landing face-first in a bush.

(For those wondering, I did it before and made it, so I thought I could do it again. It turns out I was thinking of a different hill, which was very close to the hill I hurt myself on.)

I have angst because everybody goes "OLOL GLOBAL WARMING IS GUNNA KILL US!!!111!!11! FLORDIA AND TEH ICE CAPS WILL MELT AND DIE OLOLZ!!!!!1!!1!!!q" Global warming's normal. And right now, if we didn't have one, we'd be in serious trouble. We're supposed to have one. We're still coming out of an ice age.

Also, I got a letter concerning a movement that's trying to save the whales.
Honestly, what's going to go wrong if we don't save the whales? Will we magically die if the whales went extinct?

Pro-choice. If my mother were to have another child, she would die during labor and have a stillborn baby. People like my mother need the right to have an abortion.

 - Society's screwed up
 - Your future is determined by a single letter (or number)
 - Religion is slowly brainwashing people
 - Schools are starting to ruin even more lives than before

The sky's half-orange and half-blue, and it's raining and hailing at the same time.

I'm a bike person meself. An acquaintance of mine is obsessed with skateboarding but he's a huge poser who only buys overpriced skating paraphernalia and always shows it off and talks to people about it but never actually skates and I don't want to show any interest because I don't want to give him the satisfaction.

QFT.
I'm a bike person too.

On June 5th, I sent two of my broken Zildjian cymbals back to Zildjian to see if they were defective (one broke within 10 months; the other in 3). If they're defective, they'll be replaced and shipped back to your house. According to the website, it would take at least a month to examine them and ship them back.
Today, I found two new, non-defective cymbals at my front door. Yay!
With them, my setup now consists of:
 - Snare drum
 - Bass drum (w/double bass pedal)
 - Rack toms x2
 - Floor toms x2
 - Crash cymbals x3 (Zildjian: 17" Z Custom Rock, 16" ZXT Medium Thin, 14" ZBT)
 - Hi-Hat (Zildjian 14")
 - Splash cymbal (Sabian 10" AA)
 - China cymbal (Wuhan Agazarian 14")
 - Ride cymbal (Zildjian 20" Medium)

Also, I start work at my dad's company in two weeks.

Sometimes in dreams, I end up in places I remember "visiting" in past dreams; dreams I've had weeks, even months ago. When I wake up, though, I start to doubt I ever "visited" that place at all in a dream.

Has this happened to anyone before?

In today's screwed up society, you won't get anywhere without looks.
