Video Game Chat / Re: Worst ways to die in a video game.
« on: May 19, 2007, 09:31:25 PM »
Being a level 87 Charizard in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and having a Dewgong use Sheer Cold on you...and it works. Man, was I ticked. But I had a friend rescue me.

Also, what's with the deaths in Super Mario Sunshine? I mean, does Mario have a heart attack or something from losing a race to Il Piantissimo? Someone explain the logic behind this. Please.

Shrowser was pretty darn messed up. The real kicker was you never get a turn. The entire battle is about dodging and countering.

My boyfriend let me play Wario: Master of Disguise and I couldn't get into it at all because it handles horribly for me. Since I'm a lefty, I had to use the ABXY buttons, but it still didn't feel right. I also ended up getting Game Boy Neck* within half an hour.

*Game Boy Neck is when your neck gets sore from having it in a certain position while playing handheld games.

I remember eating those Mario pops when I was little and liking them very much. They were cherry flavor, right? As for the cake. That's awesome.

I've never really thought of a boy's name, but as for girls I kinda like Lily. It sounds so cute. However, I think my sisters have terrible taste in names. I mean, seriously? Chevy? What the crap?

After a rather painful half-year hiatus, I'm back. The good news is that I was able to work on the fanfiction that I was writing.

I'm not sure if anyone really knows me, but I'm gonna be gone for at least a month due to not having enough cash to have internet access...

For some funky reason, the personality test in PMD deemed me to be the brave type. But since Charizard is so dang useful, I wouldn't have it any other way!

Also, my partner was a Squirtle named Troopa. XD

Video Game Chat / Re: Do you read the manual?

Sure, I read them. The Luigi's Mansion one is rather interesting as it has quite a few little errors.

Why wouldn't Mario Fans understand it?  I know you don't BUY any turnips, but they're still in the game.

I forgot about turnips being in SMB2. But no. I was refering to the "Stalk Market" in Animal Crossing. You buy turnips from a certain visitor and sell them to the store when it is has a high buying price.

I had another one last night. I think I was on a field trip or something and I went to a Burger King. For some funky reason, everything was written in a foreign language there. If that wasn't odd enough, I went and asked "what their turnip prices were." Fans of Animal Crossing might understand that part.

For goodness sake. Mario says "Let's-a go!" when you choose a star in SM64. I've seen way too many people say otherwise on GameFAQs. On the other hand, what he says when he throws Bowser is debatable.

I completely agree with what Toad said. Not only did that part make me cry, but I refused to play the game for the rest of the day. That didn't seem to keep me from becoming the first person on GameFAQs to reach level 100 though. Heh heh heh.

And lookie here. I even have a video of that part. Recorded it myself. ^_^

Also, there was a part or two of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon that made me a bit misty-eyed...
