IF I understand what you are asking, games you might want to buy are:

Super Mario Sunshine
Luigi's Mansion
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Zelda: The Wind Waker
Metroid Prime
Samsh Bros. Meelee
Pikmin
Sonic Heroes (or either of the Sonic adventure games)

There's a bunch of other really good ones but, considering you came to a Mario related forum to ask, I just guessed at your preferences.

If you are over 18, Resident Evil 4. This is my favorite game ever.

Super Mario Sunshine (Pretty good, gets a little bland after a while though)

Mario Party 4 (My favourite, to this day I haven't been able to find a copy!)

Mario Kart: Double Dash (It was alright, but it was no Mario Kart 64)

Metroid Prime (The first "first-person shooter" that I've actually enjoyed)

Tales of Symphonia (If you've played Tales of Phantasia on SNES, you'll know why!)

Super Smash Bros. Melee (Also my personal favourite...there is nothing wrong with this perfect game)

Mario Power Tennis (Very enjoyable)

Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour (Also very enjoyable)

That's about all the good games I can think of that i've played...I didn't enjoy Zelda: Wind Waker, Star Fox Adventures, or Mario party 5.

As a game that requires six friends, an HDTV, and skill, I can see why the majority of TMK is going to hate on it hard.

To anyone else who is getting a GameCube, there are two games you can't play without: Super Smash Bros. Melee and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year door. Don't get Luigi's Mansion unless it's an incredibly good deal: It's a great game, but it's more of a rent-it-a-few-times-from-Blockbuster-and-again-when-you-crave-the-vacuum game. It's a great game that you must play, but there isn't much to do once you beat it. Super Mario Sunshine is really great, but it's not something you'd spend your last bit of money on when you have the chance to get SSBM instead. It was hard for me to find Luigi's Mansion because it's a rather "old" game. Again, I'm not entirely clueless about what's going on. This is for future reference.

I strongly recommend Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I find it so well-detailed and interesting that currently I'm nearing completion of the game for the third time!

I was gonna get Luigi's mansion, but then I thought naaaaaaaaahhh...

I still mean to get Paper Mario, is it a good game to get stuck into?
I'm not too good at starting a game & sticking with it, I need games that I canNOT put down...

Also, what's resi 4 like? difficult? strategic? scary? *whimper* =S

Get PMTTYD. Beyond fantabuluscious. It's difficult near the end, so itm keeps you stuck to it. A very long game. Each chapter takes an hour or two to finish.
