Game Help / Re: Wii Remote problems
« on: December 13, 2008, 05:12:07 PM »
Well, I don't think there's anymore problems now. I played Wii Sports last night and I could still hit all those fouls like I used to(I'm terrible at sports, hehe) and throw a mean curveball. Problem is, I think my second player remote sacrificed itself to save my first player one. I tried playing SMG with it(which, by the way, worked like normal) but then I went to turn off the Wii and I forgot only the first player one controls whether the Wii is on or off and turned the remote itself off instead. Now the dang thing won't even turn on, even though it has fairly new batteries. This has happened before with the first player one and Dad somehow fixed that, but I can't remember how he did it. Ah well. It's only the second player one. And it's also the one that came free with WiiPlay, so no biggie. I can just get a new one to replace that. Thanks for the suggestions, guys. ^_^

Game Help / Wii Remote problems
« on: November 15, 2008, 08:41:26 PM »
Something strange happened to my Wii Remote today. Apparently, my remote no longer responds to actions like shaking or pulling back. I tried to play both WarioWare: Smooth Moves and Super Mario Galaxy today. When in Young Cricket's story in Smooth Moves, the remote refused to respond when pulling back in attempt to open a drawer(the knight-opens-a-drawer-with-something-shiny-in-it game) and when trying to put the ball in the hole, the ball rolled to one corner and stayed there. It got even stranger with SMG. Mario no longer spins when I shake the remote. He only spins if I shake the Nunchuk.

What the heck is going on here? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

The Streak by Ray Stevens

Reporter: Hello, everyone, this is your action news reporter with all the news that is news across the nation, on the scene at the supermarket. There seems to have been some disturbance here. Pardon me, sir, did you see what happened?

Witness: Yeah, I did. I's standin' overe there by the tomaters, and here he come, running through the pole beans, through the fruits and vegetables, nekkid as a jay bird. And I hollered over t' Ethel, I said, "Don't look, Ethel!" But it's too late, she'd already been incensed.

Here he comes, look at that, look at that
There he goes, look at that, look at that
And he ain't wearin' no clothes

Oh, yes, they call him the Streak
Look at that, look at that
Fastest thing on two feet
Look at that, look at that
He's just as proud as he can be
Of his anatomy
He goin' give us a peek

Oh, yes, they call him the Streak
Look at that, look at that
He likes to show off his physique
Look at that, look at that
If there's an audience to be found
He'll be streakin' around
Invitin' public critique

Reporter: This is your action news reporter once again, and we're here at the gas station. Pardon me, sir, did you see what happened?

Witness: Yeah, I did. I's just in here gettin my car checked, he just appeared out of the traffic. Come streakin' around the grease rack there, didn't have nothin' on but a smile. I looked in there, and Ethel was gettin' her a cold drink. I hollered, "Don't look, Ethel!" But it was too late. She'd already been mooned. Flashed her right there in front of the shock absorbers.

He ain't crude, look at that, look at that
He ain't lewd, look at that, look at that
He's just in the mood to run in the nude

Oh, yes, they call him the Streak
Look at that, look at that
He likes to turn the other cheek
Look at that, look at that
He's always makin' the news
Wearin' just his tennis shoes
Guess you could call him unique

Reporter: Once again, your action news reporter in the booth at the gym, covering the disturbance at the basketball playoff. Pardon me, sir, did you see what happened?

Witness: Yeah, I did. Half time, I's just goin' down thar to get Ethel a snow cone. And here he come, right out of the cheap seats, dribbling, right down the middle of the court. Didn't have on nothing but his PF's. Made a hook shot and got out through the concessions stand. I hollered up at Ethel, I said, "Don't look, Ethel!" But it was too late. She'd already got a free shot. Grandstandin', right there in front of the home team.

Oh, yes, they call him the Streak
Look at that, look at that
The fastest thing on two feet
Look at that, look at that
He's just as proud as he can be
Of his anatomy
He's gonna give us a peek

Witness: Here he comes again. Who's that with him? Ethel? Is that you, Ethel? What do you think you're doin'? You git yer clothes on!

Oh, yes, they call him the Streak
Look at that, look at that
He likes to show off his physique
Look at that, look at that
If there's an audience to be found
He'll be streakin' around
Invitin' public critique

Witness: Ethel! Where you goin'? Ethel, you shameless hussy! Say it isn't so, Ethel!

Ethelllllll!!!

Video Game Chat / Re: Are any of you... pokemon masters?
« on: August 08, 2008, 10:31:54 PM »
I do not have the guts to call myself a "master". Though I've been a fan of the series since the beginning(or at least, since Mom and Dad got me Pokemon Yellow and my first Game Boy Color for Christmas), I am in no way a master due to the following:

~ I have never beaten the Elite Four.
~ I have never even come close to "catching them all".
~ I am unable to fill every Pokedex entry due to lack of personal connectivity availability(I know no one willing to hook up GB/GBA versions, and I have no WiFi so sad).
~ Some Pokemon I absolutely refuse to evolve, like my Wartortle(Wartortle's my favorite) or my Pikachu from LeafGreen.

If the definition of "Pokemon master" was changed to "someone who has followed the Pokemon series since their earliest days and is a truly dedicated fan", yeah, I'd be a master. Otherwise, I'm just a Pokenerd.

And my mom wonders why I've lost faith in the legal system... 9_9 This is as stupid as the lady who sued McDonald's because she spilled McD's brand hot coffee on her lap.

Video Game Chat / Re: What's the worst videogame you've ever played?
« on: August 08, 2008, 10:07:46 PM »
Worst game I've ever played, hmm? I'd have to say that just about any movie/show-based game that has basically the same plot as the movie/show(like, would not be counted as a sequel/spinoff of the movie/show) qualifies. But the worst has to be WinX Club for GBA. Why? Because I BEAT IT MULTIPLE TIMES WITHIN THE COURSE OF A MONTH. AND THEN IT GLITCHED SEVERELY(example being activating a save point doing minor damage then relocating Bloom[the playable character] to a normally unreachable location in the current area). Any game that I can beat multiple times within such a short amount of time is too easy, because I don't have that kind of skill normally. And glitches like that?! Trash can plz.

Video Game Chat / Re: Brawl Stages
« on: August 08, 2008, 09:48:39 PM »
A lot of the custom stages I made were garbage stages, made only to complete records, most of which were not thought through during their creation. However, one that I am truly proud of is Buncha Ice. As the name suggests, it's made entirely of ice platforms. It's simple, yet challenging if you're not careful. A player using Ice Climbers could definitely rule the school here. To complete the frosty theme, the background music is Frozen Hillside from Kirby Air Ride. :D I like it, at least.

General Chat / Re: Too old for certain Japanese manga or anime?
« on: August 08, 2008, 09:24:17 PM »
It's been my experience that you're truly never too old for any kind of book/TV show/movie/game/etc. I myself have never been put down in public for buying media that is considered "childish", though two instances of attepmting to use a large amount of coinage to pay for such things caused a bit of a hassle for the cashiers, so sorry.

Yes, I did. I've finally come out of my hole-in-the-ground! Maybe I won't be such a lurker anymore. Maybe. Possibly.
