At the Leipzig convention, huh?

If he can't recognize a SMB Mario sprite when he sees one, he doesn't deserve to be writing for a video game site.
Oh my God... LOL, so that's what he meant?! I was imagining some DayGlo-orange Mario running around (can you blame me? I mean... geez, really?)...

Admittedly, I haven't downloaded any WiiWare games yet, but from his description, I assume it's the same thing as when you download a VC game.

Imagine how confused he'd be if he'd gotten Luigi.

"It's like the Mario shooting fire... but he's little! And he seems to have 'gone green,' but I see no correlation between short Italian plumbers and Al Gore! Perhaps he is only green because this is the color of the money that Nintendo greedily accepts as part of my transaction with them! The symbolism! It burns!"

That replacing heads with Miis thing in Mario Kart Wii still amuses me. Mario was Groucho Marx, Luigi was Geno, Peach was my lousy Mii of Gypsy from MST3K, and Daisy was Miss Piggy.

I just watched The Great Muppet Caper again the other day. I had forgotten just how great it was. No one makes movies like that anymore, let alone with puppets.

"Wanna buy a picture of you two together?"
"No thanks."
"Aw, c'mon, it'll make a great present for you and your wife."
"I don't think so. My wife isn't feeling very well right now."
"Oh, that's too bad, maybe she should be at home."
"My wife IS at home!"

"Man, I just had 'em!"
"Did you leave'em in your other pants?"
"I don't GOT no other pants!"

"It takes a while to get used to the neighborhood."
"Well, how long have you lived here?"
"All my life!"
"How come you don't have a British accent?"
"Hey, I'm lucky to have a driver's license!"

"But we thought identical twins working for a newspaper would make an interesting story!"
"Well, it doesn't! Especially since you two don't look anything alike!"
"Oh, well that's because Fozzie doesn't have his hat on; Fozzie, put your hat back on."
"Oh yeah, now I see it. But that's still no excuse!"

"Stop the presses!"
"What? What happened?"
"I don't know. I always wanted to say that."

"Man, it must be 50 below up here."
"You're lucky. You have fur."
"No, you're the one with fur. Turn on the light, see for yourself."
"Oh yeah. I keep mixing us up."

"I'll take a picture of this chicken!"

And one time the big 2-D Koopa on Koopa Cape was replaced with Mike Nelson.

It's really funny how, even after 12 years, fans are still not 100% sure that Mario says "So long-a Bowser"

To me, it always sounded like, "So long, King Bowser."

Who could that possibly be?
Time is repeating itself. Why you say? Look at the Wii and NES and you'll know why.

Look at the first two pages of GoNintendo--as of May 28, 2008, 4:30 PM--and you will understand why I got a brief urge to launch my Wii/DS out a window.
