I probably won't be playing anything coming out this week, but I'll mention that if you don't already have Metal Slug 7 on DS and are interested, Metal Slug XX is a port of that game that's playable on stuff aside from a DS screen, so you may want to check that out.

KSS on the VC? Why?

Maybe because you don't have an SNES or a DS. Or want to pay less.
That was a joke.

I like how KSS has everyone up in arms even though there are 2-3 identical versions of each Monster Boy game on VC, with probably more to come.

Also, I was initially overlooking Split/Second but it is bodaciously rad. Reminds me of the Stuntman games, which I really dug.

KSS does not have me up-in-arms.  I may even purchase it since I often prefer games on my 50" screen when possible, and I don't have it for SNES anymore.

Apparently this Blue Dragon sequel is an action RPG rather than another crappy DS RTS. So maybe it'll be at least kind of good.

Updated 5/24

There was a time when I would have been excited for the release of Blur. Split/Second changed that.

Super Mario Galaxy 2, obv.

ArtStyle: light trax looks interesting (literally).

Doom II XBLA has a new episode.

I see that this week's Guitar Hero releases were selected specifically for Glorb's approval.

The WWDIY "Big Name Games" aren't exactly that big these days.

Metal Slug XX (from last week) does a great job screaming its name on the title screen (the first LD test of a good game).

I heard the XBLA port of Metal Slug XX has some problems that, considering who I heard this from, probably only matter if you're a hardcore nerd who still uses a 4:3 CRT because you only play arcade games. I heard the same about RayStorm HD, except the problem there (part of the playing field being cut off) really does matter.

(Incidentally, you can get a new copy of the original DS version of Metal Slug 7 for the same price as the XBLA port nowadays.)

Updated 6/7

It's rhythm heaven with GDRB and a crazy (and free) GH week. There's also a PlayStation mini (which I don't list) called Vibes coming out tomorrow that looks like a complicated version of the Gitaroo Man defense gameplay.

There's also Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, but the dude I was going to play it with is moving away very soon so I don't know anymore.

For Deezer this week we have Let's Play Ballerina.

Is Mega Man Zero Collection really coming out this week? I heard it got delayed in Japan and is due to come out there later this month, and I doubt the US version would come out first.

I understand that new Disgaea game is a visual novel rather than a tactical RPG like the main games or an action platformer like Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero?.

Weird. I'll see if I can pick it up this week, then, since I don't own any of the GBA versions of the Mega Man Zero games and rather enjoyed them, $7.50 per game all on one DS card is cheaper and takes up less space than buying the GBA versions, and it should be easier to find than said GBA versions. Also extras.
