Best: Super Paper Mario (there was a lot to find and discover: a whole other hub, two Pits of 100 Trials, three optional allies...)

Worst: Super Mario Galaxy (the whole "WEEGEE'S A HIDDEN CHARACTER!!!!111" thing is getting old.)

It's because the text referring to Watt as female is missing (when she joins your party a picture appears and explains her abilities. This transcript does refer to her gender in its place only as [SHE JOINS YOUR PARTY]).

Well... in Super Paper Mario, Watt's catch card refers to the character as a "he" when PM established Watt as a "she."

The Wii has received a new update! It can now download to and load VC games and WiiWare from the SD card!

And new Zelda game announced: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for Nintendo DS.

I liked Mario Party 4's story mode the best out of the first five. At least earning presents on the character's birthday had relevance to winning party games. Mario Party 4 is one of the only games other than the main series in which I completed everything (got all the presents).

The Pianta-throwing challenge wouldn't have been so irritating if Mario actually stopped moving when he, you know, stopped. Instead of hitting a wall, stopping, bouncing upward, and then continuing to move when he clears the wall and falls into the hole.

Except they all qualify because they're on a console. Not all the spin-offs are that terrible. Some Mario Parties are better than others, and Mario Kart always has good staying power, but they shouldn't all be thrown at the bottom because of their status. Despite the flaws in SMS, I would say it is at least an order of magnitude better than something like Hotel Mario or Yoshi.

My interest in the Pokémon series had re-emerged in the past year, so I'm actually interested in Platinum. I might buy it when I get my Nintendo DSi.

There were only two things that truly urked me in Super Mario Sunshine:

I found the movie of Mario in court extremely misleading. When they show the map of Isle Delfino with all the areas Shadow Mario attacked, there are clearly like two dozens locations marked, but for some reason only 10 or so of those spots could be visited.

I was also extremely disappointed that the award for getting all 120 Shines was a new ending screen. It was also annoying that the news marque thing at the bottom kept shining "The Shine Gate has been opened..." or something when the Shine Gate does absolutely nothing.
