It depends on where in America you're from. Us Italian Americans who live here in New York always slur our Rs together, thus producing the sound you're talking about. Me, I can avoid that easily, it's just that most of the time I don't because it's in my blood. I'm actually capable of putting on many different faux accents, although I am actually unable to roll my Rs the way you just described in that last sentence.
Heh, that's actually quite funny. Does [American] English really have that many "wh" noises? Certainly, a large percentage of questions begin with "what," "where," "why," and so on, but I can't imagine regular sentences having that many "wa" noises.
The Chef, you can pick what kind of cookie.In that case, it would be better for me if they speak directly Spanish! XD
Super Caterina, I know how you feel. I have 2 Mexicans in my school that talk English very fast. So fast, you think their speaking Spanish.
