How many of you peeps are actually gonna wait for the dolphin, figuring that Nintendo is going to have anything more than it's own mascots and rare backing them up fully? I just need to see what the types of gamers we got in here so I can post replies accordingly to other topics.

uh you say that nintendo is going out with dolphin and you think they wont have mario ,luigi,bowser etc ect ect????that will never happen!!!!!!!!i need to know whats the choice or we cant take the freindly poll.

Friendly Poll: put up what you want

about the rare thing, look...the first human character rare has done right EVER was joanna dark. all of the rest of them(ki,ki2,etc) look like diddy kong with muscles/boobs. as for nintendo, i mean good lord guys, take a look. the only mario characters we see are now in multiplayer/party games. it's all about pokemon now. pokemon(no matter how much i dislike the fact) is nintendo's cash cow and will be so for a good LONG time. so what does that mean? we might see one or two old school mascots(mario/link/samus/etc) in a starring role in somekind of 1player game that we can sit down with, but other than that; it's gonna be(and you know it) nuthin but pokemon/crappy rare games from here on out. *inhales* sorry guys, just had to kick down with my take on the whole nintendo thing after watching them deteriorate in the industry.

Hmm... Mr. Whitefolks has some very good points there. Pokemon does seem to rule Nintendo these days. But how long can Pokemon last? I have read in an interview with Nintendo execs that they are preparing the next Mario and Zelda games to take over once Pikachu faints for the last time. Pokemon may be Nintendo's cash cow, but what do you think they'll do with all that cash when the cow dies? Sit there and deteriorate as a company? Highly unlikely.

I've been an avid Nintendo and Sega fan for 11 years, so I might be a little biased.

I must admit, I have been burned by Rare these past years. From my POV, Banjo-Kazooie was a Mario 64 clone/improvement, and Donkey Kong 64 was just a bigger Banjo-Kazooie. Very disappointing. Especially with Banjo-Tooie and Conker's BFD coming up... my personal future with Rare looks bleak unless they straighten up and include some innovation in their games.
