Video Game Chat / Re: Nintendo Memories :)

1. Playing SMB2 for the first time. I was only five or six years old (and the game was new then X_x), and I thought it was SO cool that you could play as the princess. :)

2. Getting my SNES for Christmas. I think I was 8 or 9 at the time then. And yes, the SNES had just been released. X_x Anyway, it was the big present for both my brother and I. We got Super Mario World and Mariopaint, and my whole family took turns playing it all weekend. Now the SNES is sitting above me on the top shelf of my desk. It still works perfectly, and so do Mario World and Mariopaint. ^_^

3. Beating Super Mario RPG for the first time. SMRPG's ending is my favorite one of all time.

4. Getting an N64, with Mario and Mariokart 64. :)

5. Beating Paper Mario for the first time. PM's ending is my SECOND favorite of all time. ^_^

"SHINE GET!" is my favorite Engrish sentence ever.

I looooove SMS. I haven't played that much of it since the GCN is at home (I only have about 20-some shines), but I still love it to bits. ^_^

I like that it's insanely difficult, but not to the point of being frustrating. I spent an hour and a half trying to beat the 'Secret of the Dirty Lake' scenario in Bianca Hills, but even though I died five million times and made a lot of stupid mistakes (right at the last part before the shine, too), I just found myself giggling at the old-school 'Mario DIED!' music and trying again. And I felt really proud of myself when I finally SHINE GOT! ^_^

I wish they had incorporated Yoshi a little better. It's kinda hard to have him sans ability to swim in a game where water is the main element. :\ Oh, well, he's still adorable. ^^

They did an excellent job on the voice acting (as sparse as it is), IMO. Bowser's voice is a little... strange... since I was expecting the voice he had in the cartoons, but it wasn't as bad as my brother said it was (he told me Bowser sounded like Foghorn Leghorn O_o). Ninty should try that more often. And next time Mario should actually talk. ^_^

I liked the ending, as well (my brother showed it to me). I don't get why some people think it sucks... it's better than just getting a cake, right??

Seriously, though, wouldn't it be spiffy if a third Mario RPG or a GBA remake of the first one came of this? ^_^

Game Help / Re: Super Mario RPG Help - About to face Yardovich

Your party is at lvls 12-13? That's your problem right there. Usually I'm around lvl 15 when I take on Yarid. Just make sure you have a lot of healing items (more syrups if you have Peach in your party) and the best armor you can get at the time. Yarid can be pretty tough if you're not prepared.

I usually fight him with Mallow and Bowser in my party. It's hard but fun. :)

1. EarthBound. BEST. GAME. EVER. Period.
2. Super Mario RPG/Paper Mario. I love both of these equally.
3. Chrono Trigger. Mmmm, time travel...
4. Super Mario World/SMW2: Yoshi's Island. NYAH!
5. Mario 64. nuff said.
6. Little Nemo: The Dream Master. You haven't lived until you've played this game.
7. Kirby's Superstar. *drool*
8. Mischief Makers. One of the BEST N64 games. Too bad it's really obscure...
9. Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Because.
10. Zelda: A Link to the Past. Again, because.

Hellos. I needeth some info about Princess Daisy. Any help would be appreciated:

First, what is Daisy's relation to Princess Peach? I've heard that they're cousins, sisters, friends, bitter rivals, etc. Is there an actual canon answer?

And second, how on earth do you spell the desert-y place in Super Mario Land? Sarasaras-whatsit-land? O_o

Oh, yeah, this is also my first post. Teehee.
