Why did the SMB movie suck?
Thank you Mario, but our princess is in another castle!

Hey, I liked the movie :(. The trick is to NOT think it should be exactly like the video game.

I liked it as a movie.  I mean, c'mon, it was made in the '80s, how can it be bad?

I better cut you off here, taking an overdose of Markio can be dangerous.

To be precise, it was made in 1993.

It's my favorite movie. I know you have an opinion too, but wait and see if other people might have...*gasp*...enjoyed it! The proper question would have been: "Do you guys like the Mario Brother's Movie"? Keep in mind that I have nothing againts you.

"Why did the SMB movie suck?"

Because obviously, the people who made it had never even played a Mario game.

I call mu.  The question contains a logical fallacy.  The movie didn't suck.

>Because obviously, the people who made it had never even played a Mario game.

No, they obviously HAD played tons of Mario games... the number of Mario references in the movie is quite impressive.  Just because they took huge liberties with the story doesn't mean they didn't play the games.

I liked it.
The way to make it not suck is to not think of it as a Mario movie.

That would be kind of hard for me.  Seeing as I always come up with this competitive nature to totally bombbard people with all of the Mario facts I know just to throw it in thier face that I know more about Mario than they do.  Except for the people here.  I only do that at school.  So basically I am trying to say, that I would not be able to not critisize the movie for its mistakes.  But over all I thought it was a great movie.

I don't dislike the movie. It's not one of my most favorite movies of all time, but it's not teriible. It's inaccurate yes, but not really that bad.

I loved it, I thought it was an excellent movie.  I think the reason so many people didn't like it was because it wasn't really about Mario and the games, but you have to admit it had a really good idea.  A parallel universe caused by a meteorite where dinosaurs have evolved into human-like forms.  The whole pendant thing, and the dinohattan thing, that was frickin awesome.

The whole cast and crew should visit the Mariology building some time.
