It could be anything. But I doubt it'll just be Bowser. That just sounds lazy. Plus if it was just him, they (the developers) would have no reason for not telling us sooner. If Bowser is indeed in the game, I'd like him to do what he did in the last two Paper Mario games. I really preferred him doing that role. I could see a cutscene of Mario running into a space castle of Bowser's in the game, actually.

Although it's gonna be Bowser minus koopalings(King Koopa to me ^-^) I, for some reason want Wario of all people, as he's never been in a 3-D Mario game made by Miyamoto.(Wasn't made by him)

Why do people hate Bowser? Well, I hate bowser, but I still want to beat him at the end of Mario games. To me noone else would be acceptable, accept MAYBE Wario.

I'll go with the third post here. I mean...first of all its outerspace, and Tatanga (an actual alien) would make a lot more sense. But if it turns out as Bowser I wont be surprised. I would just find it more interesting if it wasnt him though, because all I can assume is that Peach will be kidnapped again.

Yeah, I believe there was a pre-released story thing (Can't confirm actually.) saying Peach was in fact, kidnapped, saying Mario would have to travel on various different small planets to recover her. It's some what hard to assume as of now, but there's decent evidence, such as Bowser being the final boss of the "main" platformers from the N64 (SM64) and NGC (SMS). As stated sometime before me.

If you've ever seen the SMBSS episode, "Star Koopa," you'll see that Bowser could work in a sci-fi setting.

I liked that episode. But I just can't see today's Bowser playing as a Darth Vader wannabe, even for one game.
