I've got that stupid horrible evil putrid "Mmm-Bop" song by that stupid stupid poop fart Hansen stuck in my head. How the crap did it even GET THERE? I was doing a math test yesterday, and it suddenly popped into my head. It's been there for roughly 24 hours now. I'm surprised I haven't devolved into a feral state by now.

Ouch. That's rough, Glorb. That's worse than the song I had stuck in my head last weekend which was the little cooking song Chiyo-chan sings in the first episode of Azumanga Daioh. It's not a bad song, it's quite cute actually, but it's only about five seconds long.

Ironically, I find that the best way to get a song out of my head is to actually listen to it. But in your case...I dunno...

Glorb's constant use of "poop" gives me ANGST.

I don't find the word humorous or witty, honestly. Just disgusting.

Poop.

Anyway, I have angst that I had to go to the doctors today and remove my 3rd ingrown toenail. As I've said before (somewhere on the site) it's painful, 'cause they shoot you up with a chemical that numbs everything, and it hurts!

What exactly is an ingrown toenail? I'd like to know in case I get one myself, if I don't have one already.

Well.......an ingrown toenail is exactly what it says it is. It has grown incorrectly and usually collides with the inside of your skin and can lead to a serious infection if not treated. The pain can be great or mild when standing (depends on how bad the infection is). To treat it, you must ask a doctor to cut it out; he/she applies a cold substance to your toe to ease the pain of the shot going into it. It usually takes 3-4 shots to totally numb the toe, and after that, it's all up to the doc.

I had an ingrown toenail last year. They didn't need to cut it off, though. All I needed to do was soak my foot in hot water for long periods of time and take a prescription of penicillin pills to treat the infection. It went away quite painlessly.

I have had many ingrown toenails. I never let them get to the point of infection... I pull them out myself. Sure it hurts sometimes, but after a long shower or foot soak, the nail is soft and I can normally pull it out with ease.

I've always done the horrible things doctors say you should never do if you don't want ingrown toenails and have never had one. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Hehe, trust me, I've tried to pull them out myself. All ended in a trip to the doctor.

I've never had one, either.

They say you're not supposed to cut your toenails from end to end. Well, genius doctor, invent a toenail clipper that makes it easier to not do that!
