Well... it seems we've done what we'd always feared would happen to us: use advanced technology to invade a planet and kill lower lifeforms. I just hope the entire galaxy doesn't come after Earth for this.

Eh, whatever. We killed off some bacteria.......or something.

All that article says is that we may have killed something. It seems highly unlikely to me that anything was killed.
Remember that your first Goomba boldly you walk? When Mario touched that mushroom being brought up more largely remember that you are surprised? Miscalculate your jump that pit remember that it falls?

This just doesn't seem all that important. I doubt that the "entire galaxy will come after us."

You know, I thought we had morals at this board.  Now you guys are just shrugging off the blatant murder of more than one microorganism.  What a pity... such a pity....

So a guy writes a paper: if this certain type of bacteria was there, we killed it.

I... agree.

I'll bet those alien bacteria are thinking this:

"My fellow bacterians: On Kiau 87th, Bacteria date 8675309-1337, a day that will live in infamy, the planet Earth launched an antibacterial attack on our civilization. We have no choice but to launch a counterattack on -- wait, what's that...lemony smell? AaAaaGGGHHH!!! *SSPLOOORSH!!!Fizzlefizzle*"

Well, they wouldn't be thinking "*SSPLOOORSH!!!Fizzlefizzle*" because they'd be too dead to think so. Ah...bacterial genocide.

Aw geez. Another possible war, with foreign bacteria from outer space?

DO NOT WANT.

Pretty soon, some people out there will launch the non-profit company PETAB, which stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Alien Bacteria.

I wonder if this bacteria will eventually evolve into civilized life, like our planet did so many years ago.

Microbial life on other planets doesn't really interest me. Though, that's most likely how life started on this planet, I'd rather hear news of an advanced (non-hostile) race. :/

TEM did not make it. Look at the URL and you will find many similar comics, most of which are not work safe.
