Mario Chat / Re: "Break the Targets" records
« on: January 08, 2006, 08:29:19 PM »
Well, seeing how I can't make topics and the dozen or so new topics to choose from seemed mostly resolved or unrelated to me, I had to look back into some older ones to find something I could post about.

By the way, I notice that new members aren't allowed to create topics - How long does that usually last? I have one topic in mind that I really wanted to make.

Mario Chat / Re: Top 5 Mario Commercials of all time

I liked the Paper Mario TTYD commercial a lot, it was cool how the piece of paper travelled the world by turning itself into boats and airplanes and stuff.

Mario Chat / Re: Favorite SSBM Character

Heh, Crazy Hand is actually playable with the help of Action Replay. That aside though, my favorite would definitely be Samus - she's always been awesomely powerful in all her games and I was pretty excited to get a chance to fight with her in SSBM.

My total is in the 10 minutes area somewhere, I really only broke all the targets once like 4 years ago when the game came out, then never went back again. But I hear that some people out there have totals close to three minutes.

I think someone at Planet GameCube already reviewed this game, and scored it in the 8's. It did come out in Japan a while ago. But I think it's about time Peach got her own platforming adventure, seeing how much better she is in SSBM than Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Bowser.

Latest News / Re: News on DS games.

As a big anime/manga fan, I'm most looking forward to Bleach DS, which I hear will be online. As good as Jump Superstars was, I was really disappointed that came out just before Nintendo started making their games with online support.

Latest News / Re: Alleged Revolution specs
« on: January 07, 2006, 12:07:26 PM »
The entire reason why the Revolution is much weaker than the 360 and PS3 is because it doesn't have high definition support. High definition obviously has a much, much higher resolution than standard definition, so requires exponentially more processing and video output power. For standard definition TVs, there's no doubt in my mind that the Revolution will match, or even in some cases exceed the graphical beauty of the 360 and PS3. Just look at some of the games out right now - On standard definition TVs, you can hardly tell the difference between Madden on 360 and Madden for XBox.

Latest News / Re: Masahiro Sakurai directing Super Smash Bros. Revolution

Fantastic news, although I hope they have enough time for this game to really tone it down. Time issues for the development of SSBM had caused them to make six of the characters clones of other ones, and most disappointingly forced them to leave Sonic out of the game!

Dr.Mario's cape is probably always white because it's a medical sheet.

Someone reading the last 5-6 pages of this topic would never guess that it was about new members. So um, hope this isn't interrupting, but hi.

It would really suck if a great topic was deleted by one guy uninvolved in the debate just running in and flaming people.

Mario can pull stars out of his pocket at any time because of SMB3 and just run into the enemy to win.
