Most true Mario fans here probably already know this, but if not there is a video at http://media.ebaumsworld.com/index.php?e=moSMB3.wmv

That is just AMAZING!!  Getting all those 1UPs in the World 8 levels was especially impressive.

By the way was this the Japanese version, or some other Asian language?  Because I noticed that some of the sound effects were different - namely the pipe, fireball, and bullet/cannon sounds.  I think this should be put into the "From Japanese to English" page.

According to an interview with the guy, he used an emulator to slow down the game speed greatly. So...it isn't quite so impressive, yet still cool.

No hacks were used, though.

Wait, how can Mario jump all the way from the ground to the CLOUDS with no Flying powers WITHOUT the player having hacked the gravity in the game? I know for a fact that he made some impossibly high and far jumps in that demonstration.

No, for a fact he did not. He is bouncing off those Koopa Paratroopas, dude. (The last one of the group, specifically.)

MegaByte has the original .fmv, and besides, all attempts at calling foul have been disproven.

I'm pretty sure that even by bouncing off the Paratroopas, you CAN'T bounce that high -- I mean, that's something like a 15-block high jump!

But he also had all the "P" things. That causes you to go higher.

Meh... would'v been more impressive if he hadn't used the warp whistles.

No way in heck was that emulator unhacked. He was pulling some impossible stunts in there. No one on Earth has reflexes that quick and precise. If he did it on an original NES, then maybe I'd be impressed by this.

I never knew that Bowser could be killed with fire in SMB3.  Is that only in the Japanese verison, or does that work in the US version, too?

This is not a signature.
