Oh, so that's the drawback...

Well, I've gotten rejected from every college so far except UW, which takes until early June to respond. And I have to wait until next Tuesday to get a endoscopy, and the result may or may not be that I can never ingest wheat and/or lactose again. And I've got this [darn] English 102 paper to finish up--with a topic I'm sort of regretting picking because I'm not sure it's possible to effectively present in the confines of an argumentative paper--and the standards are so tight-ass that you fail the paper/class/don't graduate this quarter if you don't do stuff within these exact specifications.

On the other hand, it was my last day of student work today, and I'm going to get an "Outstanding Student Award" at community college graduation, so that sort of balances things out.

Aaaand now it turns out we're going to have to have someone come out to install the new modem after all, so (short of this terrible mobile connection on a device with a 320x240 display) I'm offline at home until next week at the earliest.

I found out today that my father is dying of prostate cancer. God this is one of the toughest things I'll have to face...

I'm really sorry PL. I know for a fact that watching a family member who has cancer go is one of the hardest things ever. Here if you ever just want to talk.

Kinopio is the ultimate video game character! Who else can drive a kart, host parties, play tennis, give good advice and items, and is almost always happy??

Perhaps it's better this way. His mom died of Alzheimer's and we're relatively sure that he would have gotten it (he's showing very early signs). This way he can die able and strong like he's always been.

That's really sad to hear, PL. I worry about cancer a lot among the people in my own life...

Due to open house preparation and cleanup, I'm not going to have much free time today.

One thing that really irks me is when a fellow liberal tells me to criticize the Abrahamic religions but respect "more tolerant" religions like Buddhism and Hinduism. I was asked to do that at a little political meeting today.

I can't criticize superstitious nonsense if it's nice nonsense?

Do you make any post about Religion these days that isn't flagrantly offensive towards those who practice it?

It's one thing to share your thoughts and opinions, but there's something to be said about tact.
