Mario Chat / Re: Get a load of Bowsers flowing locks!

I'm not so much annoyed by the badly drawn hair as I am by the fact that Bowser's tail is connected to his shell.

Mario Chat / Re: BEST AND WORST IN SERIES? Week 33: Returns
« on: February 17, 2009, 11:47:52 AM »
Best: I'd have to say SMG for bringing back Rocky Wrench. The poor guy hasn't had an appearance since SMB3.

Worst: Baby Mario & Luigi for MK:Wii. Even a generic enemy character (such as a Goomba) would have been a far better choice.

Video Game Chat / Re: How is Sonic "Cool"?
« on: July 12, 2008, 11:55:43 AM »
I'd say Sonic as a character is pretty cool, although I like his older design better. Obviously a lot of work was made in making his apperance as appealing as possible and I think if you didn't know who either Mario or Sonic was, you'd think Sonic was the more cool-looking one (even if  there's a certain charm in Mario being a random italian plumber in a fantasy land). I'd recommend you atleast play the Genesis games, they're good platformers. Your friends will be totally amazed and think you're cool. And if they don't, well then you would atleast have a fun time with the games, right?

Obscure Nintendo characters? Perhaps this will mark the great return of Stanley the Bugman!

Mario Chat / Re: favorite classic mario game

I'd say SMB3 is my favourite. I loved the new power-ups and the game just felt so big and sort of epic.

Mario Chat / Re: Is Super Mario RPG overrated?
« on: July 09, 2008, 06:14:54 PM »
Hm, I wouldn't say it's overrated. It had a great story, well developed characters and an awesome soundtrack. I guess that's pretty much what I ask from an RPG. It's too bad they never realesed it here in Europe though.

Mario Chat / Re: Virtual Console games

If the game seems sped up it might have something do with regional differences, the european games runs slower than the US/JAP versions I think. But then again, it should've been slower, not faster...

Also, am I the only one who thought the color was a little off on the VC version of SMB? I figured it might have something to do with my TV, but the other VC games looks fine. Was that what you were talking about, Wiiplayer99?

The game looks promising, atleast visually. Now let's just hope the gameplay holds the same quality as the other entries in the series.

Mario Chat / Re: Wario Land Shake?!

The game looks promising, the only thing I'm a little worried about is that it isn't developed by Nintendo. A major plus for having Captain Syrup in it though!
