Mario Chat / Super Paper Mario is a pretty decent game

It isn't an RPG or a straightforward platformer, like many people call it, but it feels like a puzzle platformer. A fairly decent one at that. It's extremely simple, which feels too easy at first but it smoothly transitions into more complex gameplay. The story so far is really lighthearted and silly, but still fairly entertaining.The ablilities given to you by the pixls are pretty creative, and they lend a lot to the gameplay. It doesn't feel like a Paper Mario game, but Super Paper Mario is a fairly decent game. My only complaints are the time it takes to become entertaining, and it's a bit too simple at times. Plus, Mario is the chracter you use 83% of the time, meaning all of the other characters aren't really important.

Yeah, that's right. Super Paper Mario is the worst in its series, as well as the worst Mario game I've ever played (Except for Mario's Time Machine). To start off on a good note, I guess I have to say that the music is good. Anywhere else, though, this game fails. The gameplay is just too simple. The previous Paper Mario games were RPGs, and that's what made them good. You take the RPG out of Paper Mario, and what do you get? You get a boring linear platformer. Sure they had the 3-D feature thing, but that was pretty stupid and tacked-on. There may have been RPG elements here, but otherwise the gameplay was pretty bad.

Story-wise, this game fails too. Perhaps I haven't gone far enough into it--due to the fact that it sucks--but the story is pretty stupid. It feels like it tries to be funny like TTYD was, but fails miserably. The story just lost that little charm that the previous game has. Plus, the characters are pretty stupid. I can't think of their names and associating how much they fail now because I haven't played the game in very long. As for the Pixl's, they're just crappy sidekick ripoffs. In terms of graphics I have nothing to say. They're not important to me. I guess there are some perks to this game, but they still can't fight the massive suck that is Super Paper Mario. I hope that the Paper Mario series returns to RPGs. If Nintendo wants to give us platformers, let them give us Super Mario Galaxy.

General Chat / Peanut Butter: Chunky or Creamy?

Well, there have been a series of heated debates over creamy or chunky peanut butter in #tmk, and I believe that it's time for this to hit the forums. I believe chunky is better; the ground up peanuts suspended in it make it seem a lot thicker and make it tastier. The peanuts also give it a little bit more taste.

I tend to favor the cell-phone-esque pad, it's a lot faster and it's more difficult to make a typo with. As for the auto word creator, I hate it. It's really stupid. Especially if you like to type obscure words, as I usually do.

Video Game Chat / Warning! Don't put Pelican memory cards in your Wii!

Bird Person and myself have both made this mistake, and in both cases, the cards got stuck in our precious Wiis. I suggest that if you have a Pelican memory card, get rid of it and buy a good ol' Nintendo memory card. I doubt the Nintendo cards get stuck, and if they do, repair will be much easier; Nintendo really can't do much with third-party accessories.

Mine would probably have to be Baseball. It's a lot deeper than the other sports and requires much more time. Also, it allows two totally different types of game play, pitching and batting.

Nothing is perfect, and Nintendo, although very close, is no exception.

For me it would have to be Mario Party. They are a waste of time that Mr. miyamoto could be using to blow us away with a stunning mario RPG or platformer.
